This years golden globes red carpet was probably the most monochromatic red carpets iv seen in a long time. The bright, citrusy hues were replaced with nudes, blacks, whites and an occasional splash of red. The silhouettes were really simple, form fitted, with a lot of fishtail like bottoms . Julianne Moore kept it simple and classy in a black and white Tom Ford. I love the simple, elegance of this with the upswept hair and diamond earrings !
J.Lo in a lacey Zuhair Murad. A lot of people didnt like this look, but i love lace and i kind of love J.lo so it worked for me!
Kat Mc Phee really hit a home run with this dress. Edgy, classy, simple. It was just fashion perfection on the red carpet in this simple black number for me.
Helen Mirren looking absolutely stunning ! Im not a fan of matchy matchy jewellery but i love how the earrings went with her dress.

Naomi Watts in an oxblood color Zav Posen. When i first saw this, i was like meh..its nice , but more i look at it, more i love it. Specially if you see the back- it has a diamond cut out. I think its a great look!
Michelle Dockery carried off the ‘Baroque’ trend with so much ease ! This is a very me gown honestly…if i were ever invited for the globes to accept the awards for Best Blogger or something (Ha ! As if) this is similar to what i would choose.
Our very own Tabu was at the awards wearing a red and gold Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. I love the blouse of this…like the simplicity of the outfit..just wish the sari was tied tighter!

Sridevi stuck to a simple Black and White Sabyasachi Saree , Ileana looked gorgeous in a black (Dior? i think) , and Parineeti Chopra pushed the envelope with this Sabya dress from his latest Couture 2012 collection!!! (From Screen awards ) Loved that! Her stylist is clearly doing her job. I just Wish Parineeti had hair that was slightly more polished (i dunno im thinking tight side bun and red lips) , so the nerdy-chic look of the dress could be done justice to..
Deepika Padukone was in Naeem Khan- it was another case of her hair and makeup not talking to her dress. Esha looked totally glamorous in a white collared dress. Malaika wore a rather poofy high school prom dress which seemed just too young for her ! It screams Alia Bhatt to me, not Malaika Arora Khan.

Indian ladies can carry off clothes but dont know where to do what which ends up making faux pas always.No wonder our celebrity stylists are so foolish compared to global ones. I feel so sad to see Deepika Padukone who could have sported either a brighter red or a soft muted beigey pink and let her dress do the talking. My favorite is Naomi Watts and Julian Moore…they look flawless and so apt for their age. For Malaika she always does fashion faux pas most of the time so there’s nothing new.
