Guest Review by Priya R.

Forest Essentials Claims “Luscious moisturizing Lip Balms soaked in citric or flower juices to soften and protect your lips. These lip balms seal in moisture, soothe dry lips, and leave them soft and smooth and glossy. With the tangy flavor of the ripe Narangi fruit to soothe and moisturise your lips”

My Views:

By now you must have known I am in love with Ayurvedic Products & Forest Essentials is one brand I trust. For the past few months, I am trying out many products from the brand and I don’t think there has been a single product that has disappointed me yet. One such product that I am completely sold over is the Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm Sweet Narangi Juice. I have never paid heed to this lip balm whenever I visited their store; it was ridiculously over-priced lip balm for me. But then I received a sample of Forest Essentials lip balm (other flavour) and it completely “wowed” me! Thereafter, the price tag didn’t bother me at all. First of all, a look at the cutest (not to forget classy) packaging, attracts you to buy this and second of all it takes care of all your lip problems including lip darkness/pigmentation.  It comes with an in-build mirror which helps when you are on the move. The lip balm looks bright yellow colored in the oval pan but it is colorless when applied and gives a glossy sheen to the lips. It is the most light weight, non-waxy lip balm I have ever used. It leaves no greasy/oily feeling behind and is ultra smooth. It takes care of dry & chapped lips, flaky skin and with regular usage it has even lightened my lip pigmentation.  I am on 2nd pot of the lip balm & I apply it every few hours in a day, I think it is for this reason it has lightened the lip pigmentation. The flavour – Sweet Narangi is unique very orange –y & tangy and you just want to lick it away, its so tempting! I have earlier tried the Kokum Butter & Honey flavour but for me that was a little bit bitter to taste.

Only problem I find with lip balm & many avoid it for the reason is that it comes only in pan packaging, hence requiring you to dip your fingers in it making it unhygienic to use. But for the results that I get I am ok to bargain for the pan packaging (as well as the price). Its just that it requires extra care to clean your fingers whenever you use it.

  1. Amazing Narangi taste & fragrance
  2. Made of natural ingredients
  3. Packaging is very classy & it comes with a  tiny mirror
  4. Make lips extra soft & supple
  5. Works on lip pigmentation with regular usage
  6. Feels light on lips
  7. Leaves a glossy sheen behind

  1. Price tag!
  2. Pan packaging is unhygienic to use

Verdict: A

Price : Rs 495 for 5gms

Recommendation:I love everything about Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm Sweet Narangi Juice – flavour, non-waxy texture, glossy sheen it leaves behind, takes care of lip pigmentation, cute mirror inside! The price tag may seem a little OOT but for the quality you get for it you won’t regret investing. Also, they recently started selling 3 Lip Balm Combos for Rs. 999 making it a little more affordable.
