When it is a pencil, that too a colored pencil, i put on my teacher mode and somehow make sure that it works for me. I have to admit iv spent many an hour torturing and pressurising a pencil so it yields good color payoff on me. If the pencil is stubborn on me, I am even more stubborn than the pencil. Now, NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil Copper is not very bad to me. But it is not very obedient either. It glides smoothly and softly, but somehow it doesn’t give intense color on the upper lash line. Strangely enough on the lower lash line the color comes on much better (usually it is the opposite).
For my upper lash line , i have to press a bit hard to get intense color- which you really don’t want to do anywhere near your eye area. I apply a little of cold cream before I use this NYX pencil. Then it behaves well, goes on smoothly , giving out the perfect shade of copper. A two swipe will be perfect. If swiped more than twice, the texture of the copper eye liner looks clumped and my eyes looks as though I have lot of wrinkles near the liner!
When smudged or faded using a brush, it gives a beautiful, sheen and copper glow making it look like one of those bright eye shadows that make eyes look fresher..I usually wear a stiff line on my upper lash line and a lightly smudged layer on my lower lash line. Not to forget intense black Kajal on the water line; and a thin line of black eyeliner on top of the copper line. This makes my eyes really pop- and the black against the copper contrast works really well. Though average in performing its job, I love the shade. I keep reaching this pencil every now and then. It can be used in a jiffy and hardly needs any time to complete the application.
