One of the advantages of marrying a movie buff is that when you sit down to watch the Oscars, you have pretty much seen all the movies nominated (Although some by force even though you had no mood to sit through movies with aliens/ fighting/ war) . So as the Oscar for best picture unveils itself in a few moments, i thought we should take a look at who wore what at the Academy Awards 2013 !!! Here we go !!!
The Les Miserables Cutie was in an embellished Alexander Mc Queen with a vintage feel. I love the colour on her, i love the neckline, and i love the detailing.
Best Supporting Actress Winner Anne Hatheway in a blush pink high neck Prada. I like the simplicity, but something about the fitting was off at the awards. For one i think the fabric was a bit unforgiving to all the stitching details which could be seen on screen.
Catherine Zeta channelled the Baroque Trend with a gold embellished Zuhair Murad. Waist up i love this gown, not a fan of the netting in this color though.
Jennifer Garner looked gorgeous in a plum purple Gucci.
Probably my favourite look of the night, Jennifer Lawrence was in an absolutely beautiful, textured Dior Couture gown! She looks like shes run out of a Dior Perfume Ad or something. Stunning!
Another favourite of the night was Amy Adams in Oscar De La Renta. I guess i still have a Disney hangover, i love the princessy gowns!
Jessica Chastain was in a glistening gold Armani Prive. I really liked this on her !!Just Saw Zero Dark Thirty yesterday night by the way. She was really really good !
Nicole Kidman wore a L’Wren Scott. I just did not feel the gown and it seemed so Un-Nicole Kidman who usually is very classic and simple. There was just too much going on here!
Kristen Stewart was in a gorgeous gorgeous Reem Acra. I just wish she lost that smirk and unkept hair of hers for god sake. What is she always so pissed off about? You cheated, Pattinson took you back -you should be doing back flips as far as im concerned !
Naomi Watts was an absolute stunner in this gown (Armani Prive?) . The neckline is just so interesting and i love how edgy it is, while still being appropriate for the oscars. Another favourite of the night.
