FE Lime Glaze Lip Balm Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm In Kerala Lime Glaze Review

Guest Review By Priya R

Have you ever loved a product so much that you cannot turn to any other brands offering similar products, like a HG product of sorts? Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balms is the only product which I can call my Holy Grail product. Ever since I started using these a couple of months back, I can’t think of switching over to any other brand! Well atleast not anytime soon.

Product Description:

Luscious Lip Balm soaked in citric or flower juices to soften and protect your lips

Ayurvedic Name:Bijora Nimbu

Description:Moisturising Lip Balms made with Kokum butter which contains an abundance of healing ingredients including vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique fatty acid profile. These fatty acids are indispensable for their emollient properties. Organic Beeswax deeply nourishes and restores elasticity to the skin Almond oil from sweet almonds is the most nutritious. Lime is a natural astringent. These lip balms seal in moisture, soothe dry lips, and leave them soft smooth and glossy.

Product Benefits: Forest Essential Lip Balm is uniquely designed to replenish and soften dry, chapped lips. Enriched with goodness of Natural Butters and Beeswax this balm gently heals and hydrate the lips. Free from synthetic chemicals and petroleum products this Lip Balm contains Lime Oil and Almond oil to protect your lips. Due to its extraordinary moisturizing and hydrating properties it seals in moisture and soothes dry lips leaving them soft and glossy.

My Views:

Out of 4 variants Forest Essentials has to offer in its Lip Balms range, I am on my third variant, the Kerala Lime Glaze and probably in a month or  you will be reading my review on the only pending Rose Petal version (which I am picking up next). Sweet Narangi has been my absolute favourite so far for its taste and fragrance and Lime Glaze belonging to the similar citric family is not far behind. Fragrance wise, Kerala Lime Glaze has a very very mild smell to it and though it has that lemony feel to it, it hardly lasts for a couple of minutes and tastes very bland too.

In general, Forest Essentials Lip Balms has the most amazing texture I have ever used – non – greasy, non-sticky, extremely light weight and it almost feels feathery light on the lips. In the pan, it looks hard but when it comes in contact with warmness of fingers, it melts instantly. It does not contain any tint and gives clear glossy sheen to the lips. The “all natural” ingredients  work wonderfully on the lips making it not only soft, supple but also keeping dryness and chapped lips away. I haven’t felt my lips peeling off in months. And the most important advantage I could get out of it is lightening of my lip pigmentation. It works really slowly but there is a visible difference in lip pigmentation.

I simply adore its packaging! Cute oval case like tube with an inbuilt mirror and not to mention the golden colored lid, it all looks very classy! Initially, dipping my fingers seemed somewhat disgusting but it doesn’t bother me anymore. It just requires cleaning your hands everytime, So I am not complaining!

FE Lime Glaze Lip Balm (2)FE Lime Glaze Lip Balm (3)FE Lime Glaze Lip Balm (4)FE Lip Balm Swatch

  1. Lemon-y fragrance
  2. Made of natural ingredients
  3. Packaging is very classy & it comes with a  tiny mirror
  4. Make lips extra soft & supple
  5. Works on lip pigmentation with regular usage
  6. Feels light on lips
  7. Leaves a glossy sheen behind

  1. It’s a little costly
  2. Pan packaging is unhygienic to use

Verdict: A

Price: Rs 495/-

Recommendation: Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm in Kerala Lime Glaze has a mild fragrance and taste to it which is perfect for those who are not used to heavy fragrant lip balms. It has a velvety texture and feels silky soft on the lips. It is colourless, supremely moisturizing, lightweight and has even reduced  my lip pigmentation. HG for me !

I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about this but I just prefer the normal packaging of lip balms.

The packaging looks super nice!!!!! tempted to buy .. but cleaning your fingers everytime u r supposed to dip in.. is something I dont prefer..which is why I used sticks :)

Priya June 21, 2013 at 11:45 am

That is definitely a drawback but I guess it’s not hard to get used to it… Hand sanitizer can be used too!
