Soap & Glory Hand food (4) Soap & Glory Hand Food Cream Review

Guest Review By Radhika G

After the opening of Sephora  in India people have became more aware of this super adorable brand called Soap & Glory!  For those who do not know about them- Soap & Glory is a fun, fresh, fearless and fantastic brand from UK- famous for its quirky packaging, products and witty one liners!

Product Description: Contains shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow.  It is scented with our Original Pink fragrance of fresh bergamot, strawberries and mandarin, with floral and fruity mid-notes, and musk, amber and warm vanilla. The most astonishing hand cream ever? You decide!

Instructions for use: Apply as often as you want to soften, smooth and soothe dry, chapped, or otherwise hampered hands

My Experience with Soap & Glory Hand Food:

Let me start with the packaging, I must stay it is one of the cutest products I have ever used. It is retro , it is pink and it comes in a squeezy tube with a flip-top cap and is easy to carry around. I always keep one tube in my bag at all times! Who doesn’t want to whip out this cute little squirty thing for a little hand pampering!

Now coming to the best part of this cream; that is its Original Pink Fragrance which  smells  absolutely divine. It smells sweet and delicious like marshmallows dipped in chocolate- all sweet, warm, and fuzzy. The fruity notes are that of strawberries, bergamot and mandarin, combined with floral notes. A bit sweet, a bit tangy and a bit fresh.  One day when I had applied it, my colleague in the office came upto me and said that I smelled like chocolate… :-P. I am in love with this cream for its hydrating properties and its sweet delicious smell.

The cream has a nice thick creamy consistency and is easy to apply. It gets absorbed in a whiff without leaving any sticky feeling. The cream contains shea butter and indeed is very moisturizing. This non-greasy formula keeps my hands hydrated for 4-5 hours and can sustain 1-2 hand washes as well- ensuring the cream keeps your hands tender and wonderful!

Pros of Soap & Glory Hand Food:

  • Nice quirky packaging
  • Very moisturizing
  • Contains Shea butter
  • Keeps hands hydrated for long
  • Smells divine and heavenly

Cons of Soap & Glory Hand Food:

  • Not easily available
  • Price. It is a bit expensive for a hand cream
  • Contains a lot of preservatives

Rating: A-

Price: I got it for INR 300 for 50 ml. It is pretty expensive in India. Available only at Sephora stores.

Recommendation: The Soap & Glory Hand Food Cream is not just a super moisturizing cream for your pretty hands, it is also a cream that makes you smell like warm chocolates. Yum-This is worth a try atleast for one time in your life!!

I am feeling a bit guilty that I don’t belong “in the group”! To me this hand cream does nothing but smell nice… I apply it after shower and by the time I get to work my hands feel dry… I love the boring Vaseline hand cream more.

aww Supriya…it really depends on skin texture…i have pretty normal skin…so it stays hydrated for long….some may need to re-apply it often

I love this hand cream (and their foot cream!), smells divine, and moisturises well. This is the only hand cream that I use and I have tried soooooo many!

Gotta try it- love hand creams..my hubby says I’m obsessed with moisturizing my hands every 15 minutes. Whatever!! Price tag at Sephora India may be a bit of a dampener though…
