St Ives Invigorating Scrub 2New1 St. Ives Apricot Scrub Review

Guest Review By Radhika G

Today I will be reviewing my HG product. It is an apricot scrub form the much raved brand St Ives. This is one product that I have been using for the past 4 years and keep buying it again and again. Continue reading to know my experience with this scrub.

Application: Moisten face with water. Dispense product onto fingertips and massage over face. Rinse with water. Avoid direct contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, flush thoroughly with water. For best results, use 3 to 4 times per week.

Product Claims: Oil-free • Non-irritating • dermatologist-tested • 100% natural exfoliants • 100% natural extracts • Formulated without parabens and phthalates • Made without animal ingredients

My Experience with St Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub:

The scrub comes in both tube and tub type packaging. I always get the tube one as it is more hygienic to use than tub ones. It has a gritty (sandy) texture which works way better then beads. It contains grounded walnut shells and apricot extract which deeply nourishes and exfoliates the skin. It is a very good scrub gentle yet invigorating, which means you can use it on your face and your body. It is very mild and is perfect to be used everyday, but I use 3 times in a week on my face. The scrub has got very nice mild smell which fades away the moment you wash it off.

It exfoliates my skin really well. It unclogs the skin pores efficiently and allows it to breathe, so on the days when you wear heavy make-up it works like a magic wand to get rid of all make-up and dirt. It also works wonders in getting rid of black skin of parts like underarms, knees and elbows. This leaves my skin baby soft. It removes the dead skin cells and allows creams and other products to work more effectively. With prolonged usage of this scrub, you will see the dramatic changes in your skin tone.

No offence to anyone. …bt plz don’t post reviews just fr the heck of it…..I bet 8 out of every 10 ppl who follow the blog wud already know bout this apricot scrub….Very average product and vert average review….

mehak July 11, 2013 at 9:58 pm

8 out of 10 may know about it- but 10 out of 10 also know about collosal kajal and yet their are reviews about that as well. There are lots of people who may be searching for a good scrub for whome this will be helpful-just because its a common, or cheap on the pocket product doesnt mean it doesnt warrant a review…

Pink martini July 11, 2013 at 10:11 pm

I am a regular visitor to your blog…just bcoz I aired my opinion on a review….u didn’t have to snap back at me..

Sunia Mehra July 11, 2013 at 10:19 pm

Hey Pink Martini! :)

See.. It’s Not About Posting Just Any Random review.. Example:

“X” Product May Be Reviewed On 10 Sites.. But It’s Upon The Reader To Go By Which Review.. The Reader May Trust Reviews Coming From This Blog But Not From Other Blogs.. It’s As Simple As That!

Pink martini July 11, 2013 at 10:42 pm

Hey Heena
Thanx for giving a decent reply :)

Heena July 11, 2013 at 10:24 pm

Nidhi July 11, 2013 at 11:29 pm

I used to love st ives scrubs, but lately I’ve been reading about chemical exfoliants and how they are better for your skin than physical ones like scrubs with beads in them. REN glycolactic radiance renewal mask is my current fav. Sadly there are no products like that in the Indian market right now.

Radhika July 13, 2013 at 7:45 am

oh!!! I will try and find it Nidhi…

Preeti Kaur July 12, 2013 at 12:12 am

I have dry skin. Once in while though I did use this product since I felt really clean afterwards. However my beautician at Aveda suggested not to use it irrespective of the skin type – her concern was it damages the moisture layer underneath the skin.

shahnaaz July 23, 2013 at 7:18 pm

Hi..can you tell me from which online site you bought this scrub…i couldn find anywhere near my place
