Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm In Sugared Rose Petal Review

Guest Review By Priya R

I have never loved a lip balm  enough to finish not one but three variants from a brand in less than a year. I hardly stick to one lip balm long enough – let alone finish it.  However, Forest Essentials lip balms are amazing and I am reviewing their last variant –Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm in Sugared Rose Petal.

Product Description: Luscious Lip Balm soaked in citric or flower juices to soften and protect your lips

Description: Moisturising Lip Balms made with Kokum butter which contains an abundance of healing ingredients including vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique fatty acid profile. These fatty acids are indispensable for their emollient properties. Organic Beeswax deeply nourishes and restores elasticity to the skin Almond oil from sweet almonds is the most nutritious. Rose has cooling, soothing and moisturizing properties. It is naturally hydrating. These lip balms seal in moisture, soothe dry lips, and leave them soft smooth and glossy.

My Views

Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm in Sugared Rose Petal is a salmon colored balm in the tub but when applied on the lips it is completely colourless. Sugared Rose Petal has a strong rose smell to it &  somehow it does not tickle my senses in the right way. Ironically, it feels a little artificial when the brand claims it to be made from real rose petals.

Like other lip balms from the range, this one  is very light weight and does not give that greasy, sticky feeling on the lips. As a  matter of fact, I hardly realise I have anything sitting on my lips. Inspite of this, there are no compromises made in the area of moisturization and hydration. It keeps the lips soft and supple throughout the day when applied few times. Ever since I have started using Forest Essential Lip Balms I haven’t experienced chapped/flaky/dry lips so they have been an absolute saviour for me.

Forest Essentials Lip Balms in Sweet Narangi Juice & Kerala Lime Glaze works on lip pigmentation problems & over the period of time it has definitely lightened my lip pigmentation but that is not the case with Sugared Rose Petal variant. Since, I have used all the 4 variants available, Sweet Narangi Juice will be my pick if you had to buy one followed by Kerala Lime Glaze.

These Luscious Lip Balms comes in a classy packaging –a  golden case with an inbuilt mirror & recently they introduced a new variant in packaging too. The new packaging is a plastic tub with an extra lid inside to protect & a screw cap. The new packaging contains same quantity but saves extra bucks spent for sophisticated ones. I think it is great to save a little something when you are not trading with the actual contents.

  1. Made of natural ingredients
  2. Make lips extra soft & supple
  3. Feels light on lips
  4. Leaves a glossy sheen behind
  5. Keeps the lips moisturised for whole day
  6. It is a clear lip balm hence can be used with matte lipsticks

  1. Pan packaging is unhygienic to use
  2. Sugared Rose Petal has an artificial fragrance to it which is not very appealing.

Rating: B+

PriceRs. 375 for 5g

Recommendation: Forest Essentials Luscious Lip Balm in Sugared Rose Petal is nice light textured, non-greasy lip balm, which does its job well in keeping the lips hydrated & soft. What doesn’t work for me is the fragrance which seems a little artificial when it is supposed to be made with real, natural ingredients. I highly recommend you try out the other variant in this- The Sweet Narangi Juice which is my absolute HG lip balm- not only does it moisturize but lightens lip pigmentation as well!

I have used the Kokum butter one! They are nice but too overpriced! Lovely photographs! :)

I agree aditi! If the price would have been a little less it would have been a hit! :)

This sounds lovely. Fresh makes a lip balm called Rose that is also really nice.
