Inglot 337 (5) Inglot Eyeshadow Refill Matte 337 Review: MAC Soft Brown Dupe

Guest Review By Priya R

MAC Soft Brown had been on my wishlist for a long time now but luck was never by my side and I was turned down by the MUA everytime I went to the MAC Store. It was always out of stock & last time I enquired I was told it is discontinued.  (Please correct me if this information is wrong) I was left with no choice but to look for potential dupes available in the market. I luckily found a close match (some would call it a dupe) in Inglot’s collection – Matte 337.

My Views

Inglot Eyeshadow Refill 337 has a matte finish. It is a perfect flesh toned color, a light but warm brown with some peach & pink tone to it. I would call it a universal shade which will suit any skin tone without looking ashy. Mac Soft Brown is known as “The Transition” color if I may call it, when you are playing with different colors for a look. Mac describes Soft Brown as soft golden peachy-brown whereas Inglot’s 337 eyeshadow has a touch of pink in it. Inglot 337 is as muted brown & subtle as Mac Soft Brown.

Dupe or not, Inglot 337 is the best transition color I have used so far. The flesh toned color gives the perfect seamless gradient effect. With dark & bold eyeshadows, it beautifully dissolves the harsh lines into the well blended look. It is a matte shade so it is perfect when you have enough shimmer drama going on the lid. When applied on smudged Kohl, it gives the perfect smokey look. It is a multi-tasking shade and a must  have  basic one for me.

Texture wise, it is smooth and I do not see much fallout while applying. Being a lighter shade, pigmentation is compromised but for blending eyeshadows you really don’t need dark deep colors. Overall a winner shade from Inglot’s kitty.

  1. Mac Soft Brown Dupe- or atleast pretty close to it.
  2. Best color for blending bold colors
  3. Will suit all skin tones
  4. Buttery soft texture
  5. Minimum fallout
  6. Lasts for longer hours

  1. It lacks a bit in pigmentation department being a lighter muted brown shade

Rating: A

Price: Rs. 350

Recommendation: If you know what Mac Soft Brown is all about & can’t lay your hands on it, then you will find Inglot 337 as a close cousin. It is the perfect soft brown color with matte finish which works with all skin tones. It can be your best friend for blending  colors that are hard to combine.
