Fabindia Neem Tulsi Mud Pack Review

Guest Review By Radhika G

Product Info: Neem Tulsi mud pack firms up the skin by tightening the pores. The neem extracts help diminish marks and refine texture of the skin making it look radiant. Tulsi oil soothes the skin.

Shelf Life: 2 years.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Multani mitti, Kaolin, Popain Powder, SLES, Cetostearyl, Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Glycerine, Calamine, neem Extract, Phenoxtethanol, Tulsi Oil, Imid Urea, Methyl Parabens, Propyl Parabens, Almond Oil, Neem Leaves

My Experience with Fabindia Neem Tulsi Mud Pack

The pack claims to cure the acne,  but it is not very effective in diminishing acne marks. It does tighten the pores of my skin and gives an instant glow to the skin but that is more because of the fuller’s earth (Multani Mitti), I guess. Regarding smoothening the texture of my skin, I could not notice any great results on that front either.

The consistency of this Neem Tulsi Mud Pack is very thick but it can be spread very easily. It looks like  our multani mitti pack (fuller’s earth) that we make at home  and has dry neem and tulsi fragments. It smells very strong and you can definitely smell the aroma of neem & camphor.

If you compare this to just regular Multani Mitti, it pretty much does the same thing except it is very easy to wash-off and does not make skin very dry as a normal multani mitti pack would do. I use two other packs from Fabindia apart from this mud pack and the best part i find about them  is that they dry off super quickly,  in a whiff so they are nice if you are short on time.

Pros of Fabindia Neem Tulsi Mud Pack

  • Becomes dry very quickly
  • Gives a soothing & relaxing feeling
  • Spreads easily
  • Easy to wash off
  • Tightens the pores
  • Gives an instant glow

Cons of Fabindia Neem Tulsi Mud Pack

  • Does not diminish acne marks
  • Contains SLES and Parabens
  • Smells very strong
  • Does not provide any extraordinary results over what a regular home  made pack would give.

Rating: B-

Price: INR 200 for 100 ml

Recommendation: Bottom line is that this Neem Tulsi Mud pack  from Fab India does not provide extraordinary results over an above what a normal fuller’s earth (Multani Mitti) homemade pack would give. Though it does add a glow to the face, it does not diminish marks or provide any major smoothening in my skin texture like it claims.

Supria September 18, 2013 at 9:27 pm

I have not heard many good things about fab india masks or any of their skin care stuff. They portray themselves as being natural but they are far far away from that!

Radhika September 19, 2013 at 10:52 am

No Supriya…try their charcoal face pack…its exceptionally good!! but yes that claim of being natural is all fraud

We use far too many chemicals in makeup. Chemicals in skin care stuff (especially the so-called natural ones) is a no-no for me.
