Kryolan Blusher # 081: Swatches & Review
Guest Review By Lee (Light Skin Tone, NC 35, Combination Skin)
Blushes have been a really strong love lately and I‘ve managed to collect quite a good collection from most of the brands. Today, I’ll be reviewing one of my first blushes and it is from the brand Kryolan. Kryolan is a professional brand which is mostly used for TV and film photography makeup and is highly recommended by most MUAs. I always thought it’d be really expensive but surprisingly it is quite affordable and certainly cheaper compared to the so called Indian drugstore brands(I’m looking at you, Colorbar & Lakme)
Product Description: KRYOLAN Blusher is a color-intensive compact rouge on a cream-powder base. This fine, micronized product assures a pleasant velvety feeling on the skin. The extraordinary selection of more than 32 different colors satisfies all expectations.
Kryolan blushes come in a silver round packaging with a transparent lid. . It is boxed in a grey cardboard box (which I’m not too fond of) and has the list of ingredients mentioned on it. . The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly but I’ve dropped it way too many times(butterfingers!) and as you can see I finally managed to shatter it while clicking the pics.
081 is a matte deep pink shade with a slight mauve undertone. On blending it gives a rosy glow to cheeks. It’s a very universal color and one that will suit all complexions be it light, medium or dusky.
The blush is a finely milled powder blush & has a very very soft texture. It is the softest among all the blushes I own but does require a bit of effort while blending as its highly pigmented. Even though it has a soft and smooth texture it does not crumble or lead to fall out.
The first time I swatched the blush I was a little hesitant if I could apply this well and not end up looking like a clown. Most Kryolan blushers are intensely pigmented and this is no different. You really have to take the tiniest amount on the brush and blend blend blend. I prefer using a kabuki brush for it and I believe it does a fine job!
The staying power is pretty darn good & lasts for around 6-7 hrs on me without fading!! After that it starts fading leaving a gorgeous tint to your cheeks. This has become my HG blush for parties because of the fabulous staying power!!
I do wish they gave a mirror or a brush with it but considering the price & quality I guess I’m being too greedy :D. Since only a little product is required this will last me a long long time!
1) Finely Milled & Soft in texture

Final recommendation: Kryolan blushers are a total value for money. They are finely milled in texture, intensely pigmented and long staying. They have a huge variety of shades to choose from and I believe everybody should try atleast one of these! Highly recommended!
