Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner #14 Review
Guest Review By Ki (Medium Skintone, Sensitive, Combination Type)
Just like any other Indian girl, I’ve always been a kajal user but it took me some time to come around to using eyeliner on my lashlines and even then I’d pretty much stick to black liner. Sounds boring, huh?! I thought so too…until I discovered MUFE’s aqua liner #14 – Diamond multicolor black. This black liner is just as awesome as it sounds – it’s black with a plethora of multicoloured sparkles. Each time I swatch it, I notice a different colour of shimmer, be it pink, purple or green, over that black base.
Before I dive into my review of this liner, let me share with you what MUFE has to say about it:
‘Aqua liner is a high precision waterproof liquid eyeliner. Rich in pigments and polymers, its fomula guarantees intense colour and an outstanding waterproof result. Its ergonomic applicator lets you easily apply an ultra precise line to create an eyeliner makeup look. Aqua liner is available in a wide range of vibrant shades with matte, irridescent and diamond finishes.Easily remove with waterproof makeup remover.’
It’s evident that I love the colour of this liner already – the shimmer adds such a pizazz to boring old black liner and the sparkly effect shows up really well even when it’s on my eyes. In fact, I’ve christened the shade ‘Party Black’! But does it live up to MUFE’s lofty claims? Yes, it does!
Despite never having used a liquid liner before this, I really liked the applicator and didn’t find it tough to apply at all. I also found that while it did take a few seconds to set, it didn’t smudge onto my upper eyelid once it dried, nor did it budge or smudge all day. And that’s saying something since I tend to rub my eyes a lot. It didn’t come off with water or even soap but it was easy to remove with makeup remover without any tugging or pulling on my part.
One thing I found weird about this was that it comes off in flakes, so you have to be a bit careful while removing it otherwise you may find bits of liner under your eyes after removal. But once I got used to it, this was never a problem.
So to sum up, here are all the pros of this liner:
2.Unique twist on a basic colour
3.Pigmented and the shimmer shows up well
4.Easy to use
6.Waterproof and doesn’t move or smudge all day
You have to remember to shake this before using otherwise the liner may not show up properly on the eyelids.
Price: 19.90 euros (but I got a 15% off thanks to my Sephora membership card)
Overall recommendation: Get your hands on this now! It is one of the most amawing eyeliner formulas and the colour is the BOMB! I doubt that I will run out of this any time soon but if I do I’ll be running back to Sephora to get another.
