The Body Shop Satsuma Shower gel The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel Review

Guest Review By Lucky

I am a  huge fan of The Body shop shower gels and I keep trying my hands on all the different scents they have. I bought The Body shop Satsuma shower gel this summer, and it’s almost over now, because the whole of summer, i couldnt get enough of this citrusy scent!!!

Product Description: This soap-free shower gel contains zesty satsuma essential oil and has a refreshing citrus scent. Soap-free Lather-rich Refreshing citrus scent.

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide DEA, Coco-Glucoside, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Citrus Nobilis, Methylparaben, PEG-55 Propylene Glycol Oleate, Propylene Glycol, Benzophenone-4, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Disodium EDTA, Citral, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Citrus Reticulata (Satsuma) Oil, Linalool, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citronellol, Geraniol, Orange 4, Yellow 6.

My views on The Body Shop Satsuma Shower gel:

What attracted me the most toward this body wash is its citrusy smell. It smells like fresh oranges squeezed into a bottle and is the best way to kick start the day with..

This orange colour shower gel lathers very-very well and that is why one needs very small about of product for each use. The 60 ml bottle lasted me nearly 2.5 months with everyday use. As this is a shower gel and not a shower cream I was not expecting it to be very moisturizing, but to my surprise it was moisturizing enough for my normal to oily skin for summer.

My skin was fine without body lotion on some days after using this shower gel. It cleans skin well and is easy to wash off, leaves no slippery layer behind on skin (the one we feel after using conditioners, I hate that). Because of its not so girly, not so sweet smell even guys like using this shower gel, so it’s kind of a unisex shower gel. The smell doesnt last long at all though, so if you were hoping to walk around smelling like an orange, this will dissapoint!

Pros of The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel:

  1. Awesomely fresh orangey smell.
  2. Soap free.
  3. Lathers well, so less product usage.
  4. Easy to wash off, no film left behind.
  5. Sufficiently moisturizing for summers.
  6. Not tested on animals and recyclable packaging.

Cons of The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel:

  1. Smell does not linger, faints just after the bath.

Verdict: A

Price: 275Rs/- for 60 ml

Recommendation: If you are looking for a good smelling soap free shower gel for summers which can uplift your mood with a strong orangey smell then just grab this one. I recommend this shower gel to all TBS fans and everyone who loves citrusy fragrance.

If you want the smell to last long you should use the Satsuma body butter, the smell lasts longer. I really love the fragrance but those around me don’t like it.
