A smurf fell into a Maybelline factory and turned this polish into that trademark smurfalicious blue that we have come to love (Raise your hands if you think those pastel blue creatures that are 3 apples tall are some of the cutest things on earth). Maybelline decided to name it ‘Blueberry Ice’, but i would have called it ‘Smurf in a bottle’ or something !!! As part of Maybelline New Yorks Color Show range, this is one of those pale pastels that are so on trend currently and this icy smurfy blue nail polish is perfect to ring in the winter cold !
Pastel Blue’s usually dont look to great on my hands, but this one is actually pretty flattering ! I cant really wear this to work unfortunately but come this weekend, ill be wrapped up in white sweaters and this pale blue on my nails and a muffler to match.
In terms of texture , these are pretty nice to apply- specially given the price. Opaque in two coats, smooth to apply and dry in a jiffy. This being a pastel color, it does tend to get a bit streaky but if you take a look at some of the other shades you can take a pick from one of the many !! I love th pale pinks and pastel lavenders they have on Nykaa- gorgeous !
Pros of Maybelline Color Show Blueberry Ice Nail Polish
- Easy to apply
- Dries quickly
- Opaque in two
- Smooth finish
- Does not chip for 3 days atleast
- Super affordable
- Can get streaky
Where to buy: Choose from an entire host of colors from Nykaa.com. Personally i love Coral Craze !
Price: 70 Rs
Recommendation; There isnt much you can get for 70 Rupees these days- apart from a Mac Donalds burger perhaps. But these Colorshow Nailpolishes by Maybelline are not just easier on the eyes, but are pretty solid formulations given the price they come at!
