India Bridal Week 2013 Mumbai : Aashima & Leena

If you are having a feeling of Deja Vu at the moment, its because you have probably seen most of these outfits in the India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 that happened in Delhi recently (Remember i attended the Aashima & Leena show ?) . The collection was called ‘Aalap’ ¬†and was reminiscent of a Mughal Emporers Era ! While the clothes were more or less the same as the previous show, the lighting seemed ¬†definitely miles better and hence i think the photographs did justice to the clothes this time !!

I like the use of muted colors in Indian wear. Its not often we see a sandy beige in an anarkali!

Love this color combination- an orange red raw silk lehenga with a mint green dupatta and gold blouseaashima-leena-india-bridal-week (8)

I love this jacket lehenga. I loved it the first time i saw it- i love the beautiful pale mint tone to it!

Not a big fan of the fabric used.I know this shimmer georgette stuff is super duper in right now, but not my thing.

Th gorgeous Huma Qureshi in an Aashima Leena creation. Not a huge fan of the outfit but she looks nice overallaashima-leena-india-bridal-week (14) aashima-leena-india-bridal-week (13)What did you think of Aashima & Leena’s Bridal Collection? Would you wear it for your wedding? I think if you are having a ‘Sufi Night’ which is what the latest trend in weddings is then that mint green jacket lehenga is a must have. Add a matching jhoomar and you are set !

Shimmery georgette not my thing either… It somehow always looks a bit cheap and tacky, just my opinion :)
