Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick In Pink Bureau Swatches & Review (1) Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick In Pink Bureau Swatches & Review

Guest Review By Apeksha (Skin tone NC 35)

Claims: Lakme nine to five brings you a range of 40 shades that sit on your lips all day long .Enriched with vitamin E; it conditions your lips and softens them with wheat germ oil. So perk those soft smooth lips with a touch of matte.

My Experience with the product:

Pink Bureau by Lakme9 to 5 is a berry pink shade (even though the swatch looks peachy brown). Its a great lip color for Indian skin tones and one of those pinks that will definitely flatter warm toned girls

Now coming to the texture of the lipstick, it feels soft and powdery matte. It glides smoothly on the lips without tugging. The lipstick is incredibly pigmented. One swipe is sufficient to show up on the lips. It would cover pigmented lips as well. Once applied, it settles into a matte finish and feels very light on the lips and don’t get transfer to cups, glass etc. You don’t need to layer it up otherwise it looks slightly cakey. Make sure you exfoliate your lips properly before applying, otherwise it would look unflattering and patchy. Despite being matte lipstick, it doesn’t feel very drying on the lips(I don’t have very dry lips). These are not moisturizing either. So if you have very dry lips, using a lipbalm underneath would solve the problem. It might settles into the fine lines of the lips. It stays on for about 5-6 hours and can survive a meal but gets patchy, so you definitely need touch up.

The lakme 9 to 5 lipstick comes in a rose gold metallic packaging. The shade number and color of the lipstick is printed at the bottom of the bullet. I love the packaging as it looks classy and lovely. I don’t like the packaging of their enrich range as they looks dull and boring, but these look really gorgeous.

The lipstick has a citrusy fragrance. I don’t have a love-hate relationship with the fragrance. But since it’s very mild, so I guess it would not bother someone.

Nice neutral shade, but there are so many similar looking shades in this range, confusing to decide on one.

It’s a pretty shade. Funny how it looks peachy brown in the photo. Darn cameras. :)

Mehak, I’ve noticed that a lot of the guest writers tend to be lighter than NC40. It would be great to see some guest posts from ladies darker than NC42. :)
