Loreal Professional Techni Art Iron Finish Review (5) Loreal Professionnel Techni Art Iron Finish Review

I had been looking for a good heat protection spray online, but couldn’t found one after searching pretty much every nook and corner of Online stores there are. I remembered  having  read good reviews about the Sunsilk heat protection spray but it was Out of stock everywhere I searched. So the moment I saw this Loreal Professional Techni Art Iron Finish one in the New U store, I grabbed it immediately.

Loreal Claims  : “ L’Oréal Professionnel tecni.art Hot Style Iron Finish is a thermo-activated smoothing crème specifically designed to use with all hot irons and delivers extra smoothness and shine to your hair. This thermo activated smoothing crème from L’Oréal Professionnel works with heat to maximise styling performance. tecni.art Hot Style Iron Finish gives your hair extra smoothness and extra shine, for a look that’s straight off the catwalk and ready to party.”

After washing my hair with shampoo, I let it dry completely. Once my hair is completely dried, I take a coined sized amount of the product and spread it evenly over my hair. It takes a minute or two to get absorbed completely, and then I straighten my hair using hair irons.  While you cannot measure how it ‘protected you hair from the heat’ of the iron, I can definitely say that my hair felt soft, smooth and straight after the entire process. They werent rough and dry as sometimes can happen with irons.

After using straightening irons, I can see my hair perfectly straight. It protects the hair from heat and my hair feels smooth after using it. While it does protect the hair from heat,  it doesn’t provides any shine to the hair and doesn’t take care of frizz either. So you have to use hair serum for that separately. It has a strong musky kind of fragrance which lingers for a day or so and I quiet like it.

  • Protects hair from heat and damage.
  • Doesn’t make hair feel dry.
  • Sturdy and travel friendly packaging.
  • Affordable.
  • Adds smoothness to the hair.

  • Doesn’t help much from frizz.
  • Doesn’t impart shine to the hair.

Rating: A-

Price: Rs 550 for 150 ml

Recommendation: The Loreal Techni Art Iron Finish does a decent job of protecting your hair from heat and damage. My hair stays straight thorough out the day after using this , and feels soft and smooth. If heat protection is your main concern, this is a nice option- but it doesn’t add anything extra in terms of frizz control or shine.

150 ml for 550 INR is a good quantity. A silly question, even though it says it’s for straightening, is it possible to use just for blow drying or curling? I mean, because of the heat protective factor?
I need a heat protector. So, making a short list of the products available.

I haven’t used it for blow drying yet. But as the ruchi said, you can give it a try though.

Hi Nivedita. I bought this from Looks Salon. The guy there said it can be used for both blow drying and curling.

L’Oreal professional hair products worked really well on my straightened hair, yet to try Loreal Professionnel Techni Art Iron Finish. Perfect review Apeksha :)

I have Redken heat protectant and though that one is more expensive but also helps with the frizz. I think using two serums can be a bit of overload for hair. Will skip this.
Nice review Apeksha :)

Hmmm this is very important in the process of hair straightening because it protects our hair from damage. Good review..
