So for the longest time I’v had a crush on the LV Neverfull Bag. My main issue with it has been it has no zips which is a major pet peeve (I’m paranoid of people just putting their hand in and stealing my mac lipstick). Imagine me, bridal shopping with a client in the middle of Karol Bagh & Chandni Chowk with an open bag. No jee, no thank you. Still, I love its shape- it not completely slouchy and not stiff, its big and wide and it doubles up as a shopping plus lunch date with the girls kind of bag. But then while doing random bag research (By the way those of you who are bag obsessed should read the purse blog) I saw this beauty from Coach:
Im in love with this Coach cutie. I love the pebble grey kind of color, I love the stitching (yeh toh pintucks hai says my mom), and I love that it has that same slouchy yet structured shape. I love the metallic gold against that grey and I like that the logo and stuff is understated (I hate bags which are monogrammed all over – even the LV one I like the check variant). And yes , I also love that is costs like 1/3rd of the price of a neverfull (Its a super value for money bag IMO)
Then there is this Micheal Kors Hamilton Leather Satchel. I know it looks really blah in the photo but Im a sucker for tan bags and that gold lock is just perfection! They also have a cream and tan variant in it which is equally gorgeous and this too is super value for money. Only annoying thing is- I like shoulder bags. Im not a ‘elbow bag’ girl at all- and with this one I will have to either perch it at my elbow or carry it in my hand cos the handles are too short.
So help me choose? Which one?
So far this is my bag legacy ….
– The Steve Madden Black with a gold chain (LOVED it . But it broke in 6 months)
-The pebble grey unbranded bag I bought online. Oh gosh , this has been my favourite bag out of all I owned and I also made it last for 1.5 years!
– Currently holding the functional, not so pretty but super sturdy DKNY bag in cream. It fits my laptop in for office and still doesn’t break (though I think I need to quit doing that now)
