Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Review
My skin is oily, but tends to get a bit dry in winters. However recently , i suffered from a bout of annoying breakouts (even in winters) and thats the reason I picked up this Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash!
The Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash is a gel based face wash and is quite thick in consistency! Only a small amount is sufficient for the entire face and neck and yYou don’t require one full pump of the product, only half pump is enough. It lathers very well and gives a squeaky clean feeling after washing without leaving any slippery feeling behind. It removes all the dirt, every single trace of oil and light make up too. I have oily skin but it becomes slightly dry during winters, so my face feels a little dry after washing. And one has to follow up with a rich moisturizer. So I think it would perform better during the summers.
It contains salicylic acid which helps to fight breakouts. I. I have been using it since the last 2 months and I can say that it only slow down the frequency of their occurrence but doesn’t remove them completely. So it’s only 40-50% effective on the acne in my case. I have seen so many bloggers raving about it but it didn’t perform the way as I’d expected. It has a very mild fragrance.
- Hygienic packaging.
- Removes dirt, oil and light makeup too.
- Has very mild fragrance.
- Slow down the occurrence of new acne.
- Not very effective on acne which is the main concern.
- Face feels dry after use in winters

Price: Rs 425 for 175 ml.
Recommendation: The Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne wash is a gel based face wash which removes all the dirt and every single trace of oil from your face, has a very mild fragrance and is pleasant to use. However while it may reduce the frequency of breakouts it really does not do all the sort of magic hoopla tricks I had expected it to after reading all the rave reviews on the blogosphere. That being said, this is still a good buy.
