I’m getting used to this ‘no office routine’ now, though I have to admit it is totally distracting to not have a routine. Everyday I think I need to do ‘xyz’ for Wedmegood and ‘abc’ for Peaches&blush and what I end up doing is browsing mindless nonsense online. Damnit. Need to get act together woman! One of the advantages of the no-office routine- I get to wear my bright lipsticks and prance about the house much to my moms horror. According to her Mac twig is a bright lipstick, so you can judge her limits of color. Sigh.

Coming to this one- Orange Flambe is a chilli-orange kind of matte orange lipstick. The color reminds me of those Parry’s orange candies we had as kids , or like the color of Mirinda (fav soft drink). Its warm, its bright but not neon and when you want to make a statement lip, it is very handy. Best suited for medium skintones- might look too orange on lighter skintones and too garish on deeper ones.

The lipsticks itself- the powder matte range. They apply quite nicely (they don’t drag as much as some mattes do) , seem non drying and are super pigmented. However they do feel a bit gritty and annoying when I purse my lips which may be due to the lack of creaminess. Apart from that however, they last a long time and give a nice, polishes matte look . (Be careful of what you do with your lips with these on though, too much pursing/ kissing can result in fine lines).

This has been reviewed on P&B before by a guest writer as well, but wanted to jot down my take on it!

Verdict :B+

Price: Rs 415/-

Recommendation: A summery warm orange thats not too neon and  should best suit medium skintones. These Powder matte lipsticks by Chambor are pigmented, long lasting but the powdery finish can feel a bit gritty. Still a good buy if you love the shades !
