Day 1 of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week saw Tarun Tahiliani open the festivities with a collection that he said, aimed to blur the lines between clothes and jewellery . What stood out for me- the Shilpa shetty lehenga which was so unique and fun and flattering for her body. Apart from that, some lovely prints, Taruns trademark draped saris and lots of interesting silhouettes ensured that this wasn’t a show you would get bored in ! What I noticed most about the show was perhaps the fabrics- from the prints, to gorgeous silks, each and every one of them seemed to be a drape spelling luxe .

This was really cute and minimalistic yet impactful. Do notice the churidars- they were all embellished!

This silk sari with a belt was fun, edgy and looked great.

Another fun silhouette- salwars with a high, flared out tunic..

Makeup was really vampy- dark plum lips and clean eyes with lots of contouring and overall the show had a pretty ‘cohesive’ collection . I remember last year at Bridal week, sometimes the pieces were so different from the other that it didnt even look like one show but here it just flowed from one garment to another.

What was your favourite piece?
