Its round 2 of our Bridal Makeup Breakdown series and this time we dug deep into the brains of Shruti Sharma.
Shruti Sharma is a Delhi based MUA who is part of the Wed Me Good Dream Team for Delhi (Basically a hand selected list of professionals that we recommend on our wedding website Wed Me Good for each city). Not only is she great at her work, she seems like a really nice person and is always so helpful and cooperative (She once left a movie mid way to come out and tell me what her fav foundation was :p )

That above, is a beautiful bride called Nidhi ! Over to Shruti….
Shruti says ” For her wedding day, Nidhi wanted to keep the look very simple and elegant. This is what I did to accentuate her already beautiful features and keep her bubbly personality visible through the makeup and bridal attire.
Eyes: For her big beautiful eyes, I used Inglot pigment # 83 (a really nice metallic antique gold shade) all over her lids and contoured her eye crease subtly with MAC eyes shadow Swiss chocolate. I used a gold shade (Mac Gorgeous Gold) for the inner corners and on the brow bone. I then lined her eyes with Chambor liquid eye liner (it doesn’t smudge or move at all!!) and Chambor Kajal in her waterline. To open her eyes further I added a set of fine false lashes and finished with a light coat of mascara (Benefit – They’re real) to retain the fluttery effect.
Face: Her skin is normal to dry so I moisturized her face with a light moisturising lotion from Forest Essentials (my favourite!) and used the yellow tinted Makeup Forever HD micro perfecting primer to give her complexion a slight lift and brighten it a bit. I also added a bit of MAC Strobe cream just on her cheeks, forehead and the bridge of her nose to lend that natural glow. I then used Makeup Forever HD foundation and MAC Face and Body Foundation on her face and neck. I contoured her cheeks with MAC bronzer – Format and used the MAC Prep and Prime Highlighter Bright Forecast to awaken her under eye area and highlight her cheeks. I concealed some minor spots with Chanel Eclat Lumiere Face pen in a slightly darker shade than her skin tone. Once the skin was looking even and her face perfect, I added just a hint of a pink blush by Lancome – Carnation which added some warmth and color to her face.
For the lips: I mixed Inglot lipstick in shade #69 and MAC lipstick Love Godess and the result was a really close match to her lehenga and tied the look on her face to the rest of the outfit and jewellery.
Finishing: I finished the look with Chanel natural finish face powder and some makeup fixer.
The hair was kept parted on one side with a single large pink flower tucked in her bun as she wanted to keep her dupatta really low.
That’s it and Nidhi was all set to tie the knot!
