Im ALWAYS curious to know about the products the pro’s like to use. So we asked some of our favourite Makeup Artists on our Wedding Website Wed Me Good to do a makeup breakdown for a bride. (Those searching for a bridal makeup artist in India dont forget to view our favourite in our showcase here –  Bridal Makeup Artists in India (Wed Me Good Recommended)).

One of those talented makeup artists is Avantika Kapur, someone relatively new on the scene, but once we discovered her work we knew we had to put her on our WMG recommended list because its exactly what we look for !. We asked her what made this gorgeous bride Nida glow like a lightbulb (apart from the fact that she is utterly gorgeous !) and she helped us explain!!

Avantika says  ” On meeting a bride for the first time all I can think of is how can I give this girl a great skin and enhance her own unique features. Makeup that not only looks beautiful in person but also photographs in the right way.. And that is exactly how I worked on Nida.”

Primer: Since Nida’s skin was dry, I first moisturised her skin with Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched Face Base and then used MAC’s Prep n Prime Primer.

Concealer: To conceal blemishes and dark circles, I used my favourite concealer MAC’s Studio finish concealer.

Foundation: For her foundation I used Chanel Vita Lumiere to give her a beautiful sheer effect.

Loose Powder: I used my favourite loose powder in the world, Shu uemura face powder sheer! It has such beautiful colorless effect, you know it when you use it!

Contouring: For giving a Nida a chiseled look (which also photographs very well), I used Deep Dark powder from Mac to contour her cheeks, nose and neck.

Highlighter: Girl meets Pearl from Benefit

Eye Primer: Urban decay’s eyeshadow primer potion, which makes eyeshadows last longer and crease less.

Eyes: I used eye shadows Expensive pink (P&B Favourite!) and Mulch from MAC (and a tiny bit of Sparkles from Inglot) and highlighted the brows and inner corners with Nylon, again from MAC.

Eyeliner: Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner by Maybelline. It is the best in the market at this point of time, better that most of its expensive counterparts.

Mascara: Loreal False Lash Architect (Waterproof)

Kohl: Loreal’s Lajal Magique (Waterproof)

Lipstick: A mix of Girl About Town and Vegas volt from MAC

BLush: Mix of Style & Peachykeen from MAC

WOW. I think Avantika did a SUPER fab job on Nida and I am running to go get Style and Peachykeen like right now! Stay tuned to the Wed Me Good Blog when we cover this brides wedding ceremony. Yay.! (FYI- Vegas Volt is like so gorgeous on lighter skin tones. I made my best friend Piggy buy it and she calls me every week for a customary thank you. No kidding. )

Girls. PLEASE comment below to tell me if you would like makeup breakdown posts like these on P&B. I put this here since a lot of non brides would also be helped by the products that are being used.  However if those dont interest you, then i shall limit these to th Wed Me Good blog.
