Highlighter, chocolate and coral..3 permanent weaknesses. There are some non permanent weaknesses like Orange bar in summers, and my VS pj’s in the winter, but those 3 are always up there to get me weak kneed. In terms of higlighting ,im actually pretty loyal to the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick but it does have a strong color in it so I always wanted a colorless highlighter which I can add as a pop on top of my blush !
So when I saw the Chambor Light & Sheer Highlighter I was kind of intrigued. Its this champagne color which is always lovely and the consistency makes it the kind where you can mix with a foundation or put on top of your cheekbones.
If mixed with foundation: I dont recommend you do this because it does have shimmer specks that get distributed across your skintone. Not saying you will look like a disco ball but shimmer quotient is negligible so I really cant deal with anything on my face that resembles a shimmer speck. If your shimmer quotient is higher then go ahead
If used as a regular highlighter: It does give a really nice glow and sheen specially on the cheeks. There isn’t any particular color except just a glow that this gives and makes your skin look dewy and gorgeous. It does look lovely, but my basic issue is that it doesnt give that diffused candle lit glow that highlighters I love give. Its hard to explain what it is I have an issue with but I have to layer it to get the glow I want and when you do layer it the shimmer can get a bit scattered. Having said that though, its still a nice product to own and one I recommend you go and buy if you are having a hard time finding a good highlighter in less than 1000 bux.
It lasts a good amount of time on my skin but girls with Oily skin may want to test out the wear time..
Left: No highlighter, Right: With highlighter
Price: Approx 750/- should be released soon
Recommendation: I know this is a bit of a confused review but the best way to put this is that this isn’t a “ABSOLUTE LOVE” highlighter for me, but its a nice addition to my stash for a dewy glowy look on your face. It gives a really pretty sheen and while I don’t recommend you mix it with foundation, you can definitely layer it on top for that glow. My basic problem is that the shimmer in it can tend to dissapate a little bit and the highlighters that I love usually have pearlescent finishes that give a candle lit glow whereas this gives more of a look where you can spot some of the shimmer close up.
