Mac Peachtwist Blush Review & Swatches

Get my dad on the dance floor, and whether you have Honey Singh or Rihanna blaring from the speakers there is just one move he knows- the twist. I think its a problem with everyon born in the seventies really …. but the only kind of twist I know how to do is the one by Mac- this Peachtwist blush is the one I picked up on a visit to the mac store (Read about 5 other blushes I tried here)

I first spotted Peachtwist when i went trousseau shopping with my bestie. She is 2 shades darker than me but it looked absolutely phenomenal on her !! So i bought this kind of without even trying it on me, and even though I love it on me I have to say its even more beautiful on darker skintones.

Mac Peachtwist Blush is a warm, deep apricot color. Like a beautiful peachy orange with subtle gold shimmer. If you are a darker girl and keep complaining about blushes not showing up on you, you HAVE to try Peach twist- it looks super pretty on darker girls. It looks nice on me as well, but might turn a bit too orange for lighter skintones.

Sheertone Shimmers are finishes that can be built up slowly, but honestly this one is pretty pigmented at one go itself. The gold shimmer is actually lovely and it doesn’t show at all except if someone is really looking at you intently (like a stalker), otherwise it just glistens!

Lipstick worn: Mac Style Surge Mixed with some random pink lipstick

Verdict:A

Price: 1500/-

Recommendation: Mac Peachtwist is one of the best blushes for darker girls (iv tried this on girls two shades darker and it looks lovelier on them than on me). A beautiful warm apricot, this gives warmth, color and a sunkissed look for the summer sun!

Very pretty! Any idea how it compares to Peachykeen and Nars Orgasm? I’ve been thinking of getting a shimmery apricot blush, now torn between these 3!

Peachykeen and orgasm are both much lighter and pinker. This is more orange and deeper

This looks so summery! Slightly off topic, but I let all hell loose (in two cities, that too!) to get hold of Dreaming Dahlia and thanks are due to you else I’d have never known about it. I think it would go well with Peach Twist *runs to MAC store yet again* :D

Hahah..lol…born in the mid 60′s…
I keep referring to their generation as the ‘seventies’ cos all their songs and all were 70′s ke song.

Lovely! Have you tried MAC’s Trace Gold sheertone blush? It’s the closest dupe to their discontinued Honour, which was amazing on desi complexions.

mehak April 26, 2014 at 8:47 pm

not tried that one yet!

Anything apricot and peachy has to be mine! Those blushes look so beautiful on deeper skintones, I agree. I am just not sure about the shimmer in this one. Will check it out on my next MAC visit.
