Nuxe Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm Review (4) Nuxe Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm Review

Product Description: “A repairing, nourishing lip balm with a rich, delicious texture to restore suppleness and comfort to dry and chapped lips. A must-have product: one is sold every 28 seconds throughout the world!”

The Nuxe lip balm is one of the most raved about, must have lip products. So when I was suffering from extreme dry, chapped lips due to acne medications I decided to take the plunge and buy this product.

Packaging: The lip balm is packaged in glass container that feels and looks luxurious, but isn’t very travel friendly.

Fragrance and Texture: The lip balm has a very organic lemony fragrance. The fragrance isn’t very strong or long lasting. The lip balm is quite thick in texture with minute sand like particles. (When I say minute I mean really minute. You will notice the gritty texture only after a few uses).  This grittiness goes away once you apply the product onto your lips.

Effect: On application, my dry lips felt soothed and nourished. What I love about the lip balm the most is the fact that I didn’t have to reapply every 2 – 3 hours. The effect is truly long lasting. Another unique thing about the lip balm is that it gives a matte effect on application hence it is ideal for layering below lipsticks. Did it help with my dry lips? It totally did!! But not overnight. I noticed the difference in 3- 4 days. My lips did not feel dry and the flakiness was totally gone.

Use: Because of the texture of the product and its effect you only need the tiniest amount. So it is economical if you do the calculation.

PROS:

  1. Extremely moisturizing
  2. No need to reapply frequently
  3. Long lasting effect
  4. Matte effect on application
  5. Little goes a long away (One tub lasts for around 7- 8 months when used frequently)
  6. Subtle fragrance

CONS:

  1. The only thing I could complain about is the glass container but the lip balm is also available in a stick form.

 Rating: A

Price: £ 9.50 (around 960 rupees)

Recommendation: This is one of the most luxurious lip balms I have ever used and one of the best ones. If you suffer from dry chapped lips and are looking for an ultra-moisturizing lip balm then I would say you search ends here.

Wow looks like a great luxurious lip balm. Most of the lip balms make lips greasy without nourishing them from inside…

I totally agree about being able to layer it under lipsticks / chubby sticks as it really stops the lip product from sliding around. Nuxe has some other great products too – such as the Crème Prodigieuse® Night which is lightweight but moisturising and doesn’t give me a greasy face in the morning. It has lasted me for well over 8 months so well worth it.

Our lips deserve the best. Recently I spent 300 bucks on The Body Shop’s honeymania lip balm. For me it’s an awesome product. I got my money’s worth.
