Coloressence Pre Make Up Base Review
Primers are makeup saviors for skin but they don’t get the due importance that they deserve. There are a ton of primers you can try out – some minimize pore, some reduce fine lines and some even target discoloration. So, I think if you love applying makeup then using a primer is a must, trust me it helps a LOT. Since I am college student and live off pocket money, I did not want to spend much on a primer. I wanted to buy the L’Oreal primer but it was out-of-stock in my nearby store so while looking for something else I found the “coloressense pre makeup up base” and purchased it immediately as it was super affordable . Find out if my impulse purchase was good or not.
My Experience with Coloressence Pre Make Up Base:
The texture of this primer is velvety smooth and it’s colorless. Although only active ingredients are mentioned on the pack, I highly suspect the presence of silicones because the texture is too smooth to be non -silicon. If you are allergic to silicones or have sensitive skin then stay away from it or do a patch test before using. The consistency is neither thick not liquidy, the texture is perfect which spreads with ease. It has very light fragrance which fades immediately after application. A little goes a long way and I just need tiny amount (as shown in the pic).
It’s non-greasy, non-oily and feels luxurious on skin. After application, it makes my skin supple and makes it foundation ready. Foundations, bb creams glide easily and it also makes them last longer than they actually do when used alone. I have visible pores and after application the instant effect I see with this primer is that it minimizes appearance of pores and reduces fine lines quite well. It shrinks my pore to a great extent but it might not be the best pore minimizer if you have serious pore issues. It also reduces lines and my mom loves using it around her eye area. But I would not recommend using it around eyes to anyone as the complete ingredient list is missing, and you would be doing this at a high risk.
The primer holds my makeup in place for hours and also keeps it fresh. My foundation, blush stay for 5-6 hours after I use this primer which is pretty amazing . I have combination skin so I love the matte finish it provides. Overall, I really like this primer in terms of quality and quantity both.
- The primer is packaged in tube and its light-weight which is easy to carry around
- Texture is light and my face absorbs it easily
- Makes my skin soft and supple
- It makes face foundation ready
- Minimizes pores
- Makes foundation/bb creams and my tinted moisturizer last longer than they actually do
- Gives matte finish
- A little goes a long way
- Smoothens out fine lines
- It’s not the best pore minimizer
- If you have sensitive skin then do a patch test before using because even though the ingredient list does not mention silicone, it feels to smooth to not contain silicone
- Only active ingredients are mentioned
Price: Rs 500 for 200 ml
Recommendation: The Coloressence Pre Make up Base is a very good makeup base especially at this price tag. It’s colorless, light weight and makes skin supple, foundation ready, reduces fine lines and also minimizes pores. All in all, it actually does what it claims and I’m very satisfied with the quality. You cannot ask for more from a drugstore brand. Highly recommended.
