While I have been lusting over Urban Decay’s Naked Pallette, I have never really found the inclination to go call up some US relatives who can help me buy it and ship it to me  from there, not to mention the fact that it isn’t exactly easy on the pocket. Given how rarely I wear eyeshadows (I have hooded lids), I didn’t really think I would use the Naked to its entirety. BUTTT, when Coastal Scents launched their Revealed 2 Pallette at an inaugural offer of just 9.99 USD (It is currently at 19.99 USD), I couldn’t resist giving it a whirl!!!

Undressing the Revealed Pallete- does that sound too dirty. Lets keep it PG 13 here…

First 5 shadow of top row:

A creamy white: Soft, nicely pigmented matte shadow

Soft Shell Pink: Almost looks the same as the creamy whit shadow

Peach Sheeny Shadow: Very Pretty, peach eyeshadow though has some fallout issues

Glitzy Pink shadow: Nice for dabbing in the centre of the lid , not so much for all over the eye. Nice for inner corners

Soft Pink Shadow: ANother nice one, though not a personal favourite as a shade

Bottom row, first 5 shadows:

A Matte Plum purple- brown: Hard and stiff, and difficult to work with

A soft bronze with a plum undertone: Very interesting color, and one I have dipped into quite a bit

Matte Plum Shadow: Stiff, hard to work with.

Bronse eyeshadow: Beautiful color, easy to work with, looks great and feels soft and buttery

Taupey brown shadow: Another beautiful to work with color

Glittery champagne gold: Fab for inner corners or for areas you want to give immediate oomph to

Onion Pink shadow: Nice, and soft, easy to work with

Copper Shadow: One of my personal favourite colors in the pallete. A beautiful mix of peach and copper

Golden Bronze: Another absolute cracker of a shade, love this one too (I just sounded like Navjyot singh sidhu!)

Smokey , taupe:  Nice for a smokey eye or for a dramatic crease

Matte Plum: Decent matte, but nothing to write home about

Matte Brown: Probably the nicest soft matte in this pallette

Glitzy Blackened Plum: Gorgeous, color, it would make a killer glittery smokey eye but it does have major fallout issues

Basic Black matte: Decent payoff, though slightly dry

gold-bronzze-eye

A Quick neutral eye

Overall Verdict : A-

Price: USD 19.99 (There was a discount running when it was available for 9.99 which is when I got it )

Shipping: I chose the most expensive option (Fedex) because I was getting the pallette at a 10 USD discount, and I would rather spend it in ensuring it gets to me without custom duty. If you do pay for the other options, you will stil recieve your pallette but I have had to pay customs in the past

Recommendation: For the price you pay, these shadows are lovely in color and texture. While the matte ones definitely need work (they are dry and stiff), and there is definite fallout which you wont find in high end eyeshadows, it is a pallette that is value for money for sure!!! Lasts pretty decently without a primer on normal eyelids.
