Its India couture week time people and yesterday I was super excited because even though I have been to Couture weeks in the past, this was the first time I was attending a Sabya show. And while the setup and seating was such that most of the crowd could hardly see anything, it was an experience in itself. The stage was absolutely stunning and resembled the inside of a train- even had people reading papers, yawning and the like. Trust Sabyasachi to pull of somethic eclectic , creative and crazy but make it look awesome. I swear, if I could get inside the brain of a man, it would be him. Oh and Ryan Gosling…I would tune his brain to fall in love with me ;)
Anyway, The whole ambience infact was so vintage, I half felt like having a sheesha in my hand , resting on a diwan as I watched the show and saying “Vah Vah”, “Vah Vah”. The entire show was dominated by pastels- soft peaches, pinks, mint greens and a whole lot of creams with a smattering of some earthy prints in between. There were a lot of achkan silhouettes for women, along with long flowy kaftans !
Oh my god. Kill me now. I want that so bad…A crop top bridal lehenga- yes please! That floral red embroidery …sighhh.
Navy deep V Neck full sleeved blouse contrasted against a cool silver and cream of the skirt. Gorge!
When Sabya does pastels I always love them!
This is more the Sabya of two years back, but still so gorgeous!
That color- that green…sigh ! Its beyond gorgeous !!!

Overall, I loved this collection. Even though it was titled Ferozabad, and Sabyasachi intended it to be reminiscent of the Akbar era, to me It was almost vintage, Parisian chic and I would die to own that crop top lehenga in my closet. Sigh, to be married again and wear that.
What I wore: Well, so I rushed to couture week from a meeting so don’t even ask. I was possibly the only person there in like barfi print pyjama type pants, but hey I had a media badge as an excuse (Media is usually not very well dressed)
