L’Oreal UV Perfect Aqua Essence UV Protector SPF 30 Review (1)

L’Oreal UV Perfect Aqua Essence UV Protector SPF 30 Review

Product Description: Ideal for everyday use, UV Perfect Aqua Essence UV Protector SPF 30/PA+++ not only provides expert sun protection but also keeps the skin hydrated and feeling fresh, supple and smoother without feeling greasy.

My Review

Given my good experience with the Even Complexion version of the Loreal Sunscreen (read Mehaks review here: Loreal UV perfect Tinted Moisturizer) when this gel like sunscreen with the Aqua Effect was launched, I was pretty intrigued to try it. The UV perfector is a white runny liquid, extremely lightweight in texture and is oil free. Because it is water based, it blends easily onto the skin and gets absorbed quickly.  It completely disappears in my skin without leaving behind any whitish cast. It is quite moisturizing for me and along with this sunscreen I do not need to use any separate moisturizer, just like the tinted moisturizer it leaves a healthy glow on my face.

I do love matte sunscreens more during summers and this one makes my skin really shiny within 2 hours of application especially when outdoors hence I have to top it with some powder to take away the shine. My friend who has dry skin absolutely loves this sunscreen so I guess it is a great option for normal to dry skin. . It prevents my skin from tanning to a great extent, but if I am out for long I have to reapply it after 3 hours so I do not agree with L’Oreal’s 12 hour claims about lasting power.

The packaging is really sleek and lightweight perfect to throw in your hand bag and carry around, it comes in a light blue tube with a white cap. The precise nozzle gives good control over the product dispensed avoiding product wastage.

Pros:

  • Lightweight texture, gets absorbed instantly
  • Blends easily
  • Packaging is very travel friendly
  • Keeps my skin hydrated and protected
  • Did not cause any breakouts
  • Leaves a slight glow on skin

Cons:

  • Makes my skin oily and shiny after 2 hours
  • Does not last for 12 hours as claimed and reapplication is required

Rating: B+

Price: Rs 475

Recommendation: This is a great everyday sunscreen which acts as a moisturizer as well, along with effectively preventing skin tanning. But I like mattifying sunscreens more due to my skin type, this sunscreen is best suited for normal to dry skin especially due to the glow it leaves behind.

Wow..Nice review..even i will buy tinted one.I am confused btw The body shop vit C Moisturizer and Loreal one.I have used Loreal wala before (anti dullness) but then i read Mehak’s review on it wherein she mentioned that its her HG product.. not sure which one to buy..

The anti dullness one and tinted one which Mehak has reviewed earlier are two different variants so I suggest you definitely give the tinted one a try as well, I like it a lot for winters where my skin is more on the normal side, hope that helps :)
