??????????????????????????????? Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Stick in Bad Girl Bronze: Swatches & Review

Product Description: High impact color Precision tip applicator Ultra soft formula glides on smoothly High-shine and luminous finish. 9 available shades,  24Hr/water proof-Hydro fudge.

My Review

Bad Girl Bronze might seem  very badass in name terms, but it is  the most wearable neutral color in the Rimmel Scandal Eyes eyeshadow range. It is a shimmery bronze color, with reddish tones and is very unique in its own way. It has tiny golden shimmer in it, which are not very large and give a subtle sheen without looking over the top. The color will complement all complexions very well, and works as a beautiful neutral without giving too many red flashes !

The color is quite pigmented and a single stroke gives good color pay off, but upon blending it sheers out a bit , however   the intensity can be easily built up to  a desired level without looking patchy or uneven. It can also be used as eyeliner.

The texture is smooth and creamy and it glides effortlessly on the eye lids without tugging. After application it sets to a smudge proof finish, but because the formula is very creamy it takes 3 to 4 minutes to set completely . Once set, it also makes a great base for powder shadows

As rimmel claims it is completely waterproof, and has to be removed with a waterproof eye makeup remover. Coming to the staying power, it stayed for around 7 hours on my oily eyelids when worn alone, past that it starts creasing and fading, if you have normal eyelids then it should last longer. When used over an eye shadow primer or along with a powder eye shadow it lasts for a little longer than 9 hours, but still not true to the 24 hours tall claims rimmel makes (but who needs 24 hours anyway).

Coming to the packaging, it comes in a chubby crayon just like nyx jumbo pencils with a color coded ribbon at the base and a transparent cap. I would have loved to have twist up packaging in this variant, because the sharpening causes a huge ton f product wastage

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Pros:

  • Beautiful bronze color will work for all skin tones
  • Shimmer is finely milled
  • Easy to blend
  • Very well pigmented but still buildable
  • Works well as a base with layering
  • Texture is smooth and glides easily
  • Price is very affordable
  • Decent staying power

 Cons:

  • Needs to be sharpened which causes product wastage because this is too creamy

Rating: B+

Price: Rs 415

Recommendation: This particular shade from the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Stick Range is a must try in my opinion, I reach for it often whenever I have less time to get ready but still want some color on my eyes, and the fact that  it is so easy to use makes it perfect for everyone.

Wow dis is so pigmented Priya :) if I m nt wrong, dis looks very similar to NYX Rust jumbo pencil..

yes pigmentation is super impressive, hmm I am not sure about that particular shade but I do have the jumbo pencil in milk , and it creases quite a lot on me within barely two hours since it does not set like this one does :)

Does anyone know how this compares to the Lakme eye shadow crayon in Bronze? I have the Lakme one and don’t want to buy a dupe.

Hi Poohkie I do not own the lakme one but they are quite similar the slight difference I can see from swatches of both the shades is that the rimmel one is slightly more red toned, whereas lakme one is a true bronze. I suggest it is best to get either one and instead checkout some other shades :)

Thanks for the clarification Priya. Will try out the champagne coloured one from Rimmel instead.

They discontinued the nude one from this range in India, which is so annoying :(
