Maybelline Colorshow nailpaints made me realize that inexpensive things can be sometimes very very good. I had hoarded their nailpaints a lot (and I am sure many of you have done the same). So when I saw the newly launched version of the lipsticks – I had to try these. I had recently lost my favourite Orange Colorbar lippie Obssesed Orange while on a holiday – so I had to anyway pick up an orange one. I therefore chose this one(Orange Icon) – . However I spotted a wide range of other beautiful colors as well. You can read more here
Color: The color will suit any warm toned girls. It is an easy shade of orange to carry by Indian beauties. It tends to look a tad pinkish on my lips under some lights – which I don’t really like but it could be just my lip color.
Packaging: Basic black with a rose gold border. Nothing fancy but easy to travel with.
Quality: SUPERB – just one word. Nicely pigmented, shows up in one swipe and very moisturizing. It doesn’t even leave back a stain – so very easy to remove as well.
Staying power: 4-5 hours.
- Pigmented – shows up in one swipe
- Pocket friendly
- Moisturizing – no need of balm
- Wide range of colors
- Stays for 4-5 hours
- Still haven’t been released in India (Why Maybelline why??? Haven’t we shown enough love to your nailpaints to deserve this??)
Price: Malaysian Ringgit 17.90 (INR 340 approx) . Not yet released in India
Recommendation: These are great budget buys and Given a chance I would buy most of the colors. Orange Icon is a lovely colour that instantly adds brightness and warmth to the face and is likely to suit most Indian skintones
