lakme red chaos (2)Lakme 9 To 5 Lipstick in Red Chaos: Swatches & Review

Claims: Lakme nine to five brings you a range of 40 shades that sit on your lips all day long .Enriched with vitamin E; it conditions your lips and softens them with wheat germ oil. So perk those soft smooth lips with a touch of matte.

My experience with the product:

Red Chaos is a peachy pink color( this is like scarlet drill but touch pinker) that you could throw on everyday for an effortlessly pretty look. While the name is misleading, the lipstick itself is just a gorgeous earthy peachy pink  that would look fabulous on Indian skintones. This would work as a pretty nude or neutral color for deeper skintones and an everyday color for medium and lighter skintone.

Now coming to the texture of the lipstick, it feels soft and powdery matte. It glides smoothly on the lips without tugging and one swipe is enough to cover pigmentation on my lips- so these are very well pigmented. Once applied, it settles into a matte finish and feels very light on the lips and doesn’t get transferred  to cups, glass etc. You don’t need to layer it up otherwise it looks slightly cakey. Make sure you exfoliate your lips properly before applying, otherwise it does have a tendency to look a bit patchy and unflattering.

Despite being a matte lipstick, it doesn’t feel very drying on the lips(I don’t have very dry lips). These also last a decent amount of time of around 5 hours.

Recommendation: The lakme  9 to 5 lipstick in red chaos is a beautiful shade which would fair to medium skin tones. It has a fairly smooth texture and is incredibly pigmented. Despite being a matte lipstick it feels comfortable on the lips.
