My Review

While looking for a good foundation I came across this new product from L’Oreal and the whole ‘liquid Powder’ concept really excited me. The texture of this foundation is definitely what differentiates it from other similar products in the market. The formula is very thin and runny just like water really but is packed with pigment.  It is written on the bottle to shake it well before use and fingers are best way to apply it.

The foundation has an extremely light and silky feel to it which blends in seamlessly giving a natural look and my skin feels very smooth to touch after using it. . Once you blend and apply it on the skin the liquid quickly turns into a powder like finish, hence there is no need for a powder on top. Blending has to be quick as it sets soon and it is best to cover small areas of face at a time.

The finish is not extremely matte but more like a soft matte finish which is a boon for oily skin like mine.  But I do feel it might not be the best foundation for dry skin as it has a tendency to cling to any dry patches, moisturizing skin very well before application might help.  It has sheer to medium coverage and can be layered to get a bit more coverage where needed, but it does not cover any of my blemishes and a concealer is mandatory. In spite of being such a natural looking lightweight foundation, it has incredible staying power and lasts for almost the whole day on my oily skin with a bit of touch up in the t-zone.

The foundation comes in a very compact glass bottle which is great for carrying around if handled with care, although I wish the bottle has a pump for ease of use. The shade I have is 328 Sun beige which matches my skin perfectly and completely disappears on application.
