L’oreal Paris Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in Passion Fruit Perfect: Swatches & Review
So the Chubby Sticks by Clinique took the makeup world by storm and now every other brand is coming up with lip products in the crayon form. I have been intrigued by the the crayons for a long time but did not want to invest in the expensive versions – however, had I not found this budget beauty, sooner or later I would have bought their more pricey sisters.
Coming to the product, the Loreal Paris Glam Shine Balmy Gloss is an orange lip balm with a glossy finish. On close inspection you will see finely milled gold glitter, which is not grainy at all. The texture is good, though like most lip crayons it is not very pigmented and provides a sheer wash of color on the lips. It is moisturizing and stays put for 1-2 hours if I don’t eat.
Color payoff: Not very pigmented; I need 2-3 swipes as my lips are slightly pigmented
Staying Power: one to two hours if I don’t eat.
Can work as a lip balm? Yes
- The color Passion Fruit Perfect is really pretty.
- Budget buy for anyone wanting to try the crayon trend.
- Good product for the price it comes at.
- I wish it did not have the visible glitter in it. However finely milled I shy away from wearing it to work.
- Not long lasting
Will I repurchase? I might but I rarely finish up lip products so might try a different color.
Overall recommendation: Worth a try if you are a lip balm addict. If you are looking for a long lasting lipgloss then look for more pigmented and more long lasting versions.
