In the spirit of Diwali I picked up quite a few colors from the recently launched Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel collection. I am already feeling the chill in the air and that means winter is not far along, celebrating the onset of winters this color Wintermint is perfect.

A look at the cute perfume style packaged bottles and I knew it will look pretty sitting on dresser. These oh-so-cute packaged bottles are hard to resist. The brush is thin as compared to other brands nail polishes I own, but it does not make the application difficult. It works just fine and gives a streak proof, even coverage.

Wintermint is a stunning mint sea green color and it has a metallic finish. What I love about it the most is the tiny blue and green glitter particles it contains. I am very much pleased with the color as this is my first ever mint nail polish! I don’t know why I haven’t tried one before. The formula is a little on the thin sheer side, so you would definitely need atleast 2 coats or even better go for 3 coats. Wintermint dries quickly between coats and there is not much of a waiting period, which is great if you don’t have patience like me to wait for your mani to completely dry. On my nails, it lasted for a decent 4-5 days before it started to chip at the edges. Since, the formula is on the thin side and it contains glitter, it is easy to re-touch the nail polish and elongate the life by another 2-3 days.

Now, for the fragrance part, I will be honest I had an almost complete disaster experience with Revlon’s previously launched Scented Nail Enamel and I wasn’t really expecting much either. But Wintermint turned out to be pleasantly scented with mild earthy minty fragrance. Downside, of this Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel is that it doesn’t last for a long period. It almost vanished the next day itself.

Pros:

  1. Cute perfume bottle styled packaging
  2. Stunning minty sea green color
  3. Fresh earthy mint fragrance
  4. Easy to apply
  5. Can easily wear for about 4 -5 days

Cons:

  1. It’s costly
  2. The fragrance hardly lasts for a day

Rating: B+

Price: Rs. 350

Recommendation: Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel in Wintermint is a gorgeous sea green mint color and it is loaded with similar color glitter. The color itself is a winner for me but as far as the claims of being a scented nail polish is concerned it does not completely live up to the expectations. For the price, you might want to consider the fragrance aspect before spending.
