Clinique Blushing Powder Blush in Cupid (5) Clinique Blushing Powder Blush in Cupid: Swatches & Review

What Clinique says: Silky formula sweeps effortlessly over cheekbones to create a natural look. Fresh, jet-milled colour builds and blends beautifully to desired intensity with custom sculpting brush. Long-wearing, color-true. Oil-free.

Clinique Blushing Blush Power Blush is almost a tongue twister! Try saying it faster a couple of times! Ha ha… Who doesn’t love a pretty gift & especially when it’s a Clinique Blush??  My lovely mother, who recently went to US, got a few makeup products for me & this Clinique Blush is one of it! It’s in shade Cupid -108.

Let’s get to the review straightaway.

Packaging: As the name suggests it’s a powder blush which comes in a reflective rectangle shape box with an angled brush & a full size mirror inside. I like the packaging and the fact that it comes with a good brush (most blushes do not come with brush).

The blush in the pan looks like light peachy-pink with small silver glitter in it. The glitter is not chunky but very very small & would shine a lot in sun! The Color looks quite natural on my skin adds just the right amount of light pinkish color but it is buildable so if you need more color you can! But it surely adds the required glow to my cheeks!!  The blush is very well pigmented, blends seamlessly & Ahh!! that lovely light pink color & that glow is to die for!!! And the best part is that it stays on long enough. I love wearing this blush now-a-days & also since it is beautiful day wear & is even prettier for a night outing!

Now coming to how it would look on different skin tones – It would give a nice flush of pink on beauties with light to medium skintones! Unfortunately the color doesn’t show that well on dusky skintones but it would just add a glow!

And here are the pros & cons :

Pros

  • Blush looks gorgeous on light to medium skintones.
  • Pigmented & blends in well into the skin. (not powdery)
  • Long lasting
  • Comes with a good brush
  • Travel friendly packing.
  • No unpleasant smell.

Cons

  • Expensive!
  • Color may not show on dusky beauties!
  • Shimmer maybe a turn-off for some!

Rating : A

Price: 6 grams for Rs. 1800 in India / $21 in US  (I got it as a gift though but found prices for the readers.)

Recommendation: The Clinique blush is best for ladies who love lighter blushes & would love a gorgeous flush on their cheeks! It’s a good buy for sure for light-medium skintones! I personally love it for its beautiful light pinkish color & the little shine it give my cheeks!
