Forest Essentials Delicate Purifying Soy Milk Facial Cleanser Review

What product claims? The first rule of Ayurvedic skin care is to cleanse, tone and nourish. The secret to proper cleansing is to remove dead cells and toxins, clear clogged pores and clean make-up without stripping the skin’s natural oils and moisture content. Anantmool is very effective for acne and pigmentation. Kumud is firming and toning. Nagkesar has skin re-texturising, toning and firming properties. Lavender is soothing, calming and healing. Aloe Vera has strong soothing and moisture retaining properties and stimulates skin regeneration. Soya Milk promotes moisture retention and helps restore skin elasticity, it has mild cleansing properties. Jojoba oil makes the skin softer, smoother and reduces fine-lines.

Kokum Butter contains an abundance of healing ingredients including vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique fatty acid profile. These fatty acids are indispensable for their emollient properties. Gotkula has sometimes been referred to as the Fountain of Youth and makes a highly effective ingredient for skin, as it deeply stimulates collagen production. Wheat Germ improves blood circulation, repairs damaged skin cells and soothes and softens the skin. It has anti-ageing properties. Carrot Seeds help to maintain the elasticity of the skin thus makes the skin firm and toned.

My take on the product:

For the past few months I was in search of good mild cleanser which would give me a break from those chemical infused cleansers. Thankfully my search ended when I came across this bottle of goodness. The cleanser has a thick creamy consistency which when applied cleans off  dirt and light make up easily. It possesses a mild floral scent of lavender, which is very soothing and relaxing. Unlike other cleansers, it does not need to be poured on to cotton and be swiped on face, instead it needs to be evenly spread on the skin like a lotion and massaged into the skin, and finally rinsed off with water.

This does not work as a makeup remover perse because stubborn makeup wont be removed with this, but I use it as face cleanser instead of a face wash and it works great for me. It leaves my skin soft and tight without any dryness, giving it a firm look. After using this I actually feel my face is clean and fresh. Now this is my favourite everyday morning and night face wash. I love it so much that soon will buy the bigger bottle and keep buying it as it does not give any side effects nor sting my eyes (after all using any Forest Essential product makes me feel royal:) ) .

Packaging is a bit off,  as the product is thick and creamy in nature so it does not come out easily from the bottle, you need to dab it on your hand few times to get it out.

  1. Light lavender fragrance, very mild and soothing
  2. Paraben free
  3. Gives soft and smooth texture to skin
  4. Works deep into pores
  5. Does not irritate skin
  6. Complete organic
  7. Can be used by any skin type
  8. Definitely it can replace your daily face wash

  1. It is not as strong as make-up removers , you need to re-apply it several times to remove makeup with this
  2. As it is very think in consistency, so the product is hard to dispense from the bottle with that small opening.

Rating: A

Price: INR 850/- for 200ml, INR 270/- for 50ml

Recommendation: This is an amazing product jam packed with all natural ingredients which do not harm your skin . The Soy milk cleanser is mild and leaves my skin feeling soft but plump, as well as fresh. It does not remove stubborn makeup however so if you are looking for a stronger cleanser this is not it.
