NYX Powder Blush in Pinched Review (3) NYX Powder Blush in Pinched: Swatches & Review

According to me, a makeup look is not complete unless a subtle glow and colour is added to the face by applying a swipe of blush!! What say?? Hence, today I would like to review one of my most favourite blushes that’s so versatile and gorgeous. It’s the infamous NYX Powder Blush in the shade Pinched.

Product Description: Our pressed powder blush delivers sheer, silky color that glides on easily, blends beautifully and creates a natural glow. The formula is richly-pigmented and lasts for hours. Available in 24 radiant colors!

The NYX Powder Blush in Pinched is considered to be a dupe for the very popular and high end NARS Orgasm Blush. I haven’t had a chance to lay my hands on the NARS Orgasm yet, but since I so love the NYX Blush in Pinched, I will sure purchase the NARS one when I get a chance.

My Experience with NYX Powder Blush in Pinched:

Whenever it come to putting color on my face (not Holi; P.S. I don’t play Holi) through lipstick or blush, I always gravitate towards bright and bold colours, orange being my most favourite. So I would call the NYX Pinched a “safe” colour as you won’t look like a clown if you go overboard using it, considering it is highly pigmented. Let’s see the credibility of this product on the following parameters:

Packaging: NYX Blushes come in a cute square-ish plastic packaging with a see through lid which makes identifying the colour easy. Though the packaging is pretty, it’s a little flimsy. Since it’s not that sturdy, travelling with it will require extra caution so that the blush does not get crushed under other things.

Shade: NYX Pinched is a beautiful warm natural peachy pink toned blush which will suit most Indian skin tones. It has slight golden shimmer particles which are very minute and don’t look chunky on application. This shade looks gorgeous paired with any eye look or lip colour. Since this has shimmer, it would great as a party wear blush for a night look.

Texture: The texture of the blush is very smooth and easily blendable. Even though it contains a bit of shimmer, the blush is not gritty in texture. It sure is a little powdery, but the powdery texture can be felt only while swatching the product. When this blush is applied on the cheeks, the application is very smooth and flawless.

Pigmentation: The major plus point of all NYX Blushes is the pigmentation. These babies are crazy pigmented. The bold colours have higher pigmentation than the light neutral colours. In spite of being a light shade (comparatively) NYX Pinched also has a great colour pay off.

Longevity: The staying power of NYX Pinched is about 5 to 6 hours easily without touch ups, which is not bad at all. But if the longevity needs to be extended, a makeup setting spray can be used. Also the colour does not travel all over the face, it sets where it is put on the face.

Quality: The overall quality of the NYX Pinched Blush is great considering the awesome colour pay-off, the smooth texture, minute shimmer particles and the lightweight packaging. This is the best quality blush that I own and can be much compared to the high end blushes.

Rating: A+

Recommendation: Ignoring the insignificant cons, I highly recommend this awesome powder blush to everyone. There are so many shades that you’ll definitely find at least one as per your liking. If you want to buy these blushes cheap, they are currently on sale on the website CherryCulture.com which is a great website for NYX makeup shopping. Warning!!! These blushes are extremely addictive and if you try it once, you shall fall prey to purchasing a ton of other shades. I have 5 shades myself !!
