My Experience with Maybelline The Colossal Kohl Kajal In Crushed Emerald:
When it comes to eye pencils, green and purple coloured liners are my most favourite. So when I saw that out of the 3 new shades launched by Maybelline, one happened to be a beautiful green colour, I jumped with joy and ordered it online immediately. I only wish Maybelline launches a purple kajal next! Maybelline, are you listening?? Anyways, let’s get into the details of this product.
Packaging: The packaging of these Maybelline Colossal Eye Pencils is a typical Yellow colored kajal stick with the name and shade mentioned on the body of the kajal in the same colour as the shade of the kajal. Actually, that’s a brilliant packaging idea. I really missed the outer packaging of the regular Colossal Kajal. This one comes without any outer packaging or any safety seal. Total disappointment!!
Colour: The shade is an awesome dark forest green colour which looks so beautiful on the eyes. It appears to be a matte eye pencil when applied to the eyes. But it does contain very very finely milled shimmers which provides a slight sheen to it.
Texture: The texture of this kajal is quite satisfying in terms of it being creamy for hassle free application. Its somewhere in between a super creamy liner and a dry liner. This does not tug or pull the eyes, which is great.
Pigmentation: Two swipes of this eye pencil gives a gratifying effect on the waterline and the eyelids. So should we complain? I guess no!! The pigmentation is pretty reasonable, not bad at all!
Longevity: The “wow” factor of the Colossal Kajal is the longevity. It lasts for a really long time on the eye-lids and the waterline as well. Since it is water proof and smudge proof, the longevity increases.
Quality: All I can say is that I am impressed! Considering the results delivered by this kajal on all parameters, this emerges to be a great kajal pencil at an affordable cost.
- Gorgeous green colour
- Sleek and sturdy twist up packaging
- Comfortable to wear and does not sting the eyes
- Travel friendly

- Safe for using on the waterline and the eye lids
- Waterproof formula
- Smudge proof

- Not extremely pigmented, but at this price, no complaints!

Recommendation: If you like green liners, go grab this one!! If you’ve never tried green liners, go grab this one!! This is a fantastic kajal with great packaging, great longevity, great price point and good pigmentation. Highly recommended!!
