My Review

I absolutely adore these uber cute matte chubby sticks by Revlon! Ever since I bought the shade Sultry Sulfureuse I have been a fan of it hence ended up picking two other shades from the range.

Revlon colorburst matte balm comes housed in a matte color coded chubby stick form which is retractable. I like the way the balm can be used to line and fill in the lips with the pointy tip.

Elusive Insaisissable can be described as a pastel pink color, even though it’s quite a pale shade it is more on wearable side and does not wash me out completely, I like pairing it with slightly darker eye makeup especially with a brown Smokey eye. The color looks more cool toned against my warm NC 40 complexion but I like the way it adds light pop of color on the lips which is appropriate for the summers. I enjoy the refreshing peppermint flavor the balm has, it feels slightly tingly as well though not everyone may like it.

These matte balms are much pigmented and it completely covers my lips in 1-2 swipes. The texture is beautiful, it glides without any pulling or tugging and has velvety matte finish. Even though the formula is matte it does not feel drying or heavy on the lips. But I did notice that Elusive Insaisissable being a light shade it applies a bit patchy and streaky and tends to settle into line on the lips. It lasts for five hours on me fading evenly.
