Hello beauties!! Been out of here since really long… how I missed writing reviews!! Anyways I have come up with a super duper product for all of you!! I am pretty sure everyone would love to have a small touch-up product, which they can keep in smallest of the clutch or even in a dress/ denim pocket & that’s exactly what I have found for you! It’s a Bobbi brown face touch up stick (concealer) in shade no 5 Honey.
Packaging: This beauty comes in a classic Bobbi Brown black box, inside it is a classy glossy twist-up stick. It is like a lipstick case just slimmer. It is super sturdy, believe me I know because I have already managed to drop it a couple of times.
The product has a creamy texture with medium to full coverage, perfect for spot concealing. It’s not completely matte I would say maybe semi-matte. Just use the stick directly on your face & pat with finger, and apply powder (I do since I have little oily skin) and you are good!
One small thing I don’t use this directly on my active acne, I find it unhygienic. I just take some product on my finger & ta-da its perfect!
I absolutely love how easily it matches my NC 42 skin plus it blends like a dream. I have been using it in these bad summers in Nagpur where temperature is reaching 47 degree & it stays on well for about 5-6 hours after which you need to touch up. It stayed well over 8 hours during pre-summers. On the website it is mentioned that this is not for under eye area but I use it under my eye too & set it with some loose powder but if you have really dark circles then I suggest you use some color corrector with this.
This concealer would suit all skin types since it doesn’t feel too oily nor does it dry out. It’s light on skin and is buildable.
Now about shades, the Bobbi brown website has about 20 shades. I bought this during my recent trip to Dubai. I am not sure how many are available in India. There are total of 4 stores out of which 3 are in Delhi & they recently opened the 4th at Palladium Mall (Lower Parel), Mumbai.
For reference I have also put up swatches of Mac studio fix foundation in NC42 & Bobbi brown long wear foundation in no 5 Honey.
And here are the pros & cons:
- Blends beautifully
- Stays on well
- Travel friendly packing.
- Would suit all skin types
- Full coverage & feels quit light on skin
- Less quantity ( it’s a touch up stick so I shouldn’t be complaining)
- Availability in India
Rating : A+
Price: 2.3 grams for approx. Rs. 1850 in India / $ 28 in US.
Recommendation: It’s undoubtedly my current favorite product and I absolutely recommend it all the ladies who wear makeup for longer hours and need touchups, this is going to make your life easier! And as far as I am concerned doing touch-ups was never too easy! ;)
P.S I have already called for another piece as a back-up in case I don’t travel to Delhi/Mumbai.
