The older you get, the harder it is for you to meet new people and make new friends. So while you have some new people in your life who drift in and out, who keep you company at work and are great for minor flirtations, you tend to reach back and dial your closest friends whenever you have something to share. With lipsticks its kind of the same thing. The older you get, the more you feel like reaching for those staples that have been with you since forever. So when a new lipstick enters the holy trinity of your favourites, it’s a pretty big deal and this L’Oreal Paris Color Riche in Rosy Symphony hit just the right notes with me
First, lets talk about the color- this is one of those beautiful, warm mid tone pinks that instantly add color to your face . This is the kind of pink I could wear everyday and be happy about it- no matter what my skintone is. This will look fab on deeper skintones as well as lighter ones, and the warm undertone makes it perfect for Indian skin.
In terms of texture, I actually thought these were glosses, but the pigmentation is solid and gives near opaque coverage in 2-3 swipes. Not all of my pigmentation is hidden but that doesn’t matter because overall this produces a gorgeous, shiny, juicy lip. The texture is moist, and hydrating and unlike other liquid lipsticks which tend to dry out my lips, this doesn’t do that- it actually keeps them hydrating for a long time.
In terms of longevity, I had very poor expectations because glossy lip products like this one tend to get worn off very easily. Not this one though- this lasts a good 5 hours on me and even after a meal I can see dredges of pink clung as a stain so hurray for that !
Recommendation: So this is isn’t the cheapest lipstick around but I absolutely love it. I love the shiny, pink, plump feel of it on my lips, I love the color and it doesn’t dry out my lips. While it may not be super long stay, it is definitely the most long stay of this ‘gloss type’ variety of lipsticks. Wear it alone or layer it over something- Iv found my summer 2015 go-to lipstick
