Colorbar True Lip Gloss in Vintage Rose Review (6) Colorbar True Lip Gloss in Vintage Rose: Swatches & Review

Today I want to share with you a “gloss” which is not really much of a gloss and is more of a liquid lipstick. I have always loved Colorbar products for their quality and pricing. I picked out two shades from this range and I will be reviewing the shade vintage rose today.

Packaging: The packaging is totally fuss free. It comes in a silver cardboard box which I don’t have any more (sorry). The tube is cylindrical and very sleek. The material is made of very sturdy plastic and it is travel friendly. The cap fits on tightly and there is no spilling. The applicator is a typical doe foot one and there is no excess product on the wand.

Shade:  It is a deep purple berry shade. The color is a little neonish but very wearable. I am terrible at describing colors. Do check out the swatches for a better understanding. It is a very bright shade and is perfect for summers

Texture: The gloss is very lightweight and does not feel sticky at all. The glossiness goes after 2-3 hours and the color still stays behind. It moisturises my lips for a few hours. It does tend to settle in fine line after a couple of hours. It is a great pick of summers as well as winters.

Staying power:  The color lasted for almost 7-8 hours. I ate and drank in the between and it did fade a bit but left a deep stain. You definitely need a makeup remover to remove this.

Pigmentation: So I usually don’t buy lip gloss because I don’t like the sheer color pay off but when I swatched this on the counter I was sold. The pigmentation is amazing. It is opaque in one single swipe. As I wrote before it is more of a liquid lipstick.

Fragrance: It has a vanilla fragrance that is not very intimidating.
