Guest Review by P. Ganguly (Skin type: Combination to oily, Skin tone: Fair)

Matte lip colors are in trend these days, so this review is dedicated to girls who are school or college going & want to try super affordable matte lip creams.

Product claims:  It’s not lipstick, nor is it gloss. It’s like nothing you’ve experienced before. It is a lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte.

It comes in a clear plastic tube with a matte black screw-cap and a long precise doe-foot applicator which is very usual nothing fancy. The shades numbers are written at the bottom of the tube. The texture is very smooth and creamy, glides on lips like a dream. After 5-10 seconds of application, it dries down to a matte finish. It does not settle down into fine lines or dry out the lips.

The smell of these lip creams is just like freshly baked vanilla cupcakes. Pigmentation is very good, just one swipe and you are good to go. It stays in place for 6-7 hours, no need of touch ups or reapplication. It is transfer proof. Miss Claire provides a variety of shades to choose from, I picked up shades 01, 05, 08, 12, 16A and 17A from their range.

Shade #01: It’s a blue based red (cool toned) and will flatter most Indian skin tones.

Shade #05: It’s a peachy pink shade. An everyday kind of color.

Shade #08: Very deep rosy pink color, goes very well with floral dresses.

Shade #12: It’s a bright pink color with blue/ purple undertone, goes splendidly with blue, green or pastel colored outfits. It’s ideal for night outs.

Shade #16A: It’s quite similar to shade #05, but more on the peachy side. It complements heavy eye makeup. It may wash out dusky skinned girls.

Shade #17A: It’s a peachy nude color with a hint of brown in it. An every day hue for work or college.
