Guest review by Simran Bandwar (Skin Tone: Light, Skin type: Normal to dry)
Ever since I bought my first liquid lipstick, I have been reaching out lesser for normal bullet lipsticks. I have been so obsessed with liquid lipsticks lately due to their enormous list of pros over their regular counterparts. So today, I will be reviewing another favourite of mine; the Chambor extreme wear transfer-proof liquid lipstick in the shade 402.
Claims : A long-lasting, transfer proof liquid lipstick with a smooth sensorial feel and a creamy matte finish. Its extreme coverage provides a deep, intense colour in just one stroke.
Shelf life : 3 years.
Packaging : The lipstick comes in a matte black cardboard outer carton with all the necessary information mentioned like the shade number and expiry date. The lipstick tube is a regular sleek plastic transparent bottle with a black cap. The company’s name is embossed in silver on the bottle. I have never liked the idea of companies using numbers to differentiate lipstick shades, since it becomes really confusing to distinguish them. Honestly, I think the packaging could have been better.
Texture & Colour : The texture of the lipstick is smooth, like whipped cream which I utterly love. It glides on your lips easily and the pigmentation of the lipstick is excellent. The hue of the lipstick is a gorgeous mauve-dusty rose nude pink. This shade is said to be a dupe for the famous Posie K from Kylie Jenner’s Lip kit !
My take on the product : I had seen swatches online and discovered that this liquid lipstick is a dupe for Posie K by Kylie Jenner. Initially, I bought it solely for this reason. But after using it, it became a favourite of mine. This shade 402 in particular is a popular shade and goes out of stock very soon. In fact, most of the shades in this range go out of stock pretty quickly at Chambor counters, you can purchase all the shades online though.
The colour payoff is excellent and so is the staying power. It will last 6 to 8 hours and would also survive a 4 course meal !!! One swipe will give you amazing pigmentation and it takes about 1-2 minutes to completely dry off after which it becomes completely transfer proof. The formulation is drying if you do not use a lip balm underneath. Once, I did not use a lip balm underneath and the lipstick settled into fine lines, dried out my lips and looked very patchy.
The doe foot applicator feels soft and does its job well. But, I think someone having thin lips would find it difficult to work with the applicator. The colour is great for college and office going ladies since it is the perfect everyday mauvey-pink nude. It will suit light to medium skin tones but wash out darker skin tones completely.
There are a variety of shades available in this range so I am sure everyone would find a shade perfect for them. The lipstick does tend to bleed a little due to its formulation so I would recommend using a lip liner to line your lips. This is one of the best liquid lipsticks available in the Indian market and is not priced too high for the amount it offers.
