Everyone is raving about liquid matte lipsticks these days and why shouldn’t they! They are super matte, kiss-proof and long wearing. I am quite addicted to liquid lipsticks; so as soon as I heard that Chambor has launched their new transferproof liquid matte lipsticks and some of them are quite similar in color to Kylie Jenner Lip kits, I could not stop myself. I bought one and today I will be reviewing this lipstick in the shade 404.

Product description : A long-lasing, transfer proof liquid lipstick with a smooth sensorial feel and a creamy matte finish. Its extreme coverage provides a deep, intense color in just one stroke. To remove use “Chambor Eye & Lip Make up Remover”.

Packaging It comes in a sleek cylindrical transparent plastic tube with screw open cap. The color can be seen through the tube. It has a long precise doe foot applicator which makes it easy to line the lips and filled as well.

Shade It is a gorgeous purple toned pink, which is ideal for festive wear. This type of shade is totally appropriate for the fall (it’s around the corner).

Smell : It smells like vanilla cupcakes – so yummy!

Texture : The texture is very nice and smooth. It is very liquid-y in the tube but as soon as it is applied on the lips, it goes completely matte in a few seconds. It glides like a dream and the color payoff is excellent. Yes, it dries out the lips a bit but not as much as other liquid matte lipsticks. So, a lip balm must be used underneath.

Staying power : It stays on forever and doesn’t budge when it comes in contact with plain water. An oil based makeup remover is the only way to take it off. It doesn’t fade, move around or
bleed. But, after having oily food it may come off leaving a strong tint behind.

  • Super matte finish, comfortable to wear
  • Transfer proof
  • Long wearing
  • Wide range of shades to choose from
  • Glides smoothly and fullest coverage in one swipe
  • Sleek and attractive packaging
  • Easily available

  • Expensive
  • Doesn’t come off easily
  • Dries out lips a bit, so need to prep lips before applying it.

Verdict : A

Price : INR 845 for 6 ml.

Recommendation : I think there is a lack of good quality liquid matte lipsticks in the Indian market. Only a few brands have launched liquid lipsticks and they are on the expensive side. For me, this one delivers on almost everything it claims. Overall, I like the formula and the shade very much and highly recommend it.
