Guest Review by Sreeparna Ganguly (Skin type- Combination to oily, acne-prone; Skin tone- Fair)

I am not at all a heavy eye-makeup person. Kajal is the only eye-makeup for my everyday go-to look. Last year I had to attend a family function, and I bought an eye-brush kit from Colorbar called ‘Ready to Wink’. This kit brought a revolution in my eye makeup game. I started to like the whole eye makeup thing you know! Anyway, the angular brush I am going to review today came in the kit. I am happy to announce that I find this brush quite useful and effective. To know more about my experience with Colorbar Angled Angel Eye Defining Brush please read on.

This angled brush is available individually as well as in the eye-brush set. The eye shadow brush from the set is already reviewed here.

This angular brush comes in a black plastic reusable pouch. The packaging is fuss-free and travel friendly. The angled angel brush is a medium length brush (an inch shorter than my palm length) with a white plastic handle and black metal bristle holder. At the end of the holder there is a depiction of the Colorbar logo. Both the handle and the holder are made up of good quality materials. The bristles are tangy orange coloured. Quality wise, they are really soft but firm. I do not have enough experience about makeup brushes to tell if the bristles are synthetic or not. I wash this brush with cold water and baby shampoo once in a while and then air-dry it. I experienced neligible bristle shedding while washing.

I have thick and even brows with a few sparse zones here and there. I fill them up with a brown eye-shadow using this brush. I take very little product on the brush and then fill my brows with firm, short strokes. This angular brush evenly distributes the colour on my brows without making my brows overdone. I have defined my outer V with this brush quite a few times. It performs well in this case. It helps me make a sharp line on my outer-V. I sometimes highlight my brow bone with this brush. I take some champagne highlighter or simply some compact powder on the slanted edge and blend on the high point of my brow bone. The softness of its bristles makes the task of blending very easy.

Pros

  • Affordable
  • Multipurpose product
  • Soft bristles
  • No shedding

Cons

  • Could not find any

Verdict : A +

Price : INR 250 for individual brush (INR 550 for the eye-brush kit)

Recommendation : I would recommend this to anybody who needs a decent angular brush for eyebrow filling, brow bone highlighting or defining the outer V of the eyelid. I do not think I need to repurchase this product anytime soon because this brush is going to last me a while :)
