Today I am going to review an interesting product which is the translucent powder by Miss Claire. We already love their soft matte lip creams, which are dupes for the NYX soft matte lip creams. The brand Miss Claire offers a wide range of professional makeup at a very affordable price tag and this translucent powder is one of them. I really enjoy using this to set my concealer and foundation. This translucent powder works wonders at “baking”. So without further ado, let’s get on with the review.

Packaging: When it comes to packaging, it is very chic and elegant looking. The powder comes in a plastic tub with a mirror finish lid cover on which the brand’s name is printed. It comes with its own puff applicator. It also has a plastic separator which has little holes in it. It helps in getting the right amount of product on the applicator. The shade name, number and all other relevant information is mentioned at the bottom. The lid closes tightly which makes it easy to carry in your bag.

Shade: The powder is light beige in color. There is no shimmer or sheen in it which is a big plus for me.

Smell: It doesn’t have any fragrance.

Texture and Formula: The texture feels silky smooth and it blends flawlessly into the skin. It barely adds any color to the skin, which is why it works perfectly for setting concealer and foundation. This power is great for baking and highlighting. It has a soft powdery formula which doesn’t look cakey at all but adds a nice healthy glow to the skin. Only a small amount is needed, so a little goes a long way.

Staying power: It stays put on me for 4-5 hours. After that it needs a touch-up.  I personally think 4+ hours is quite good for a translucent or setting powder.

I use it to set my Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer under the eyes and the best part is that it doesn’t crease a bit. It might fade away after 5 hours but you can always reapply it. Once I baked my face with it for experimental purposes and was really impressed by the results. The main down side of this product is the availability; this translucent powder is not available widely and only a few stores keep it in stock.

Pros:

  • Super affordable
  • Chic and classy packaging.
  • Silky smooth texture, blends seamlessly
  • Adds a nice healthy glow to skin without being shimmery or glittery, doesn’t look powdery at all.
  • Good for oily skin.
  • Long lasting.
  • Ideal for setting concealer and foundation.

Cons:

  • Availability.

Verdict : A

Price : Rs.315 on Amazon

Recommendation : I am so into this translucent power these days because autumn is here and this doesn’t make the skin dry or look powdery at all. I really enjoy using this on a daily basis. Silky smooth texture, super blend-able formula at such an affordable price tag !!! I would highly recommend this product.

Miss clarie has good range of products at an affordable price. Tried its eyeshadows and lip cream( which I have posted recently) and now thinking of trying out this too. Nice review :)
