From the brand : Want a high impact color and bedazzling super-shiny finish? Nykaa Gold Rush Nail Lacquer Collection brings you superior nail lacquers with light reflecting pigments that deliver intense, long-lasting color. Perfect for times when you DO want super shiny nails that last longer than regular polishes. The Gold Rush collection is for the glamorous, uptown girl! This exquisite collection makes you want to reach out to glass of merlot. It’s like having 24K gold on your tips; your pinkies never looked more chic!

Switch up your style and own any lane with the Nykaa Gold Rush Nail Lacquer in Lost in Gold. Enjoy the high life and soak up some golden sunshine with this rose gold hue. Put your feet up and be the golden girl!

Packaging : The nail polish bottle is a regular (see through) glass bottle with a applicator attached to the matte black cap. The packaging is standard like that of other Nykaa nail paints.

Shade : Lost in Gold is a pretty rose gold shade with minute particles of glitter that would look quite nice with ethnic wear. It is not too yellow or over the top. A very muted gold that would be perfect for NYE. Having said that, if you have dusky skin it might make your hands look dull.

Texture : The consistency is quite smooth and applies evenly on the nails. Not streaky or patchy, it glides effortlessly. Unlike the matte collection from the same brand which has a thick texture. One coat is sufficient for opaque coverage. Drying time is also decent.

Finish : It looks glossy, sparkly and shiny like a glitter polish should. Having said that its not too blingy or OTT.

Glitter : The best thing about this polish is that the glitter particles aren’t grainy. They are super fine; application is a breeze and removal isn’t that much of an issue. When you apply one coat, the glitter doesn’t feel coarse. But if you want to increase the intensity and apply two coats, the finish can feel gritty because the concentration of glitter is higher.

Longevity : The staying power is good with no chipping for 3-4 days. Wear time can be increased by applying two coats and a top coat over it. (The nail swatch below is one coat.)

Pros :

  • Gorgeous rose gold shade, glitter isn’t grainy
  • Easily available
  • Smooth texture, easy application

Cons :

  • Expensive

Verdict : A

Price : Rs.249 / 9 ml

Recommendation : A stunning colour and a good quality nail polish that’s perfect for parties, weddings and all kinds of Indian wear. I am very impressed with the consistency and ease of application.

I feel like getting this nail lacquer whenever I shop from Nykaa, but I feel 25o bucks for a nail lacquer are tooo much.
Nice review.

I agree Nisha :) The matte collection from the same brand is for 199.

This color is gorgeous! Rose gold really seems to be having its moment lately, and I’m not complaining!
